My chiropractor recommended this as a digestive aid. She said it would help increase the acidity in my stomach to begin digestion more quickly. I don't know if that is accurate or if it is what the product is intended to do but I can say that it helped relieve the symptoms of IBS for me. I have stuck with the brand and product for some time now.I suggest you take the advice on the package and swallow these whole. The taste is quite bitter if you accidentally forget to have your wash-down beverage ready to go when you pop them in your mouth!
