These puffs taste just awful. I try everything my child eats, and this one was gross. I spit it out and threw it all away. I won't expect my child to eat it if I won't even eat it.That being said. I like the idea of this and am going to try a different product in a different flavor from Spoonful one. But, definitely do not buy the broccoli cheddar flavored puffs. Read more

These look somewhat like a cross between a puffy Cheeto and gerbil food-- however, my one year old son really devours them. Each packet is 45 calories-- so not as dense as the pureed food, but still enough to make a dent in his hunger and keep him occupied for a while. While these do get soggy when wet (if your kid is sucking on them), I would recommend waiting until your kid has at least a tooth or two on the top and bottom. I think besides the tastes, my kid seems to enjoy gnawing/wood-chippering these a little at a time as he eats them.I do wish the price was a smidge less for what you get (7 packets for ~$13 at the time of this review), but otherwise I have no complaints about these-- and my one year old doesn't seem to have any either. I'll start by saying that I'm a tad worried about my daughter's taste buds. She absolutely LOVES these. But I'm sorry to say that I think these taste a bit gross. I hate to say that about food, but it's true. They are supposed to be "homestyle ranch", but I'm not sure which planet these even taste remotely like ranch. Oh well, she gobbles them up and learned the word "snack" because of these. She gets so excited when she sees me pulling out a bag.SpoonfulONE kept coming up on my Instagram feed and I'd been curious to try their products. They seem to use good ingredients. I mainly liked the idea of fun snacks to introduce allergens. I gave these to my daughter at around 10 months old. She is now 1 year old and still does not have teeth but she is chewing well. These melt so I'm not concerned about a chocking hazard for her. BUT please do follow labels as these state to give them to 9mo+ and I do believe that your kiddo should be at least chewing well if you decide to give them these snacks. The bags are not inexpensive though. I usually split one bag in between meals, and if mommy is running out of steam, baby gets a full bag along with the rest of her actual meal. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors. Or more like, my daughter might be looking forward to it more than me. Hoping the other flavors are a little more true to their description. But hey, so long as she likes them and eats them. I've tried to introduce my son to different foods, and to test his tolerance for different foods. I've tried eggs, peanut butter, shellfish, etc..., but I always wonder --- am I feeding him too much? What if he has a bad reaction? Thats where SpoonfulOne seems to come in.I like the premise of their products -- introduce the baby to many different foods that are commonly associated with allergies. I like that most of the ingredient list is filled with items that are organic. I tried the Homestyle Ranch flavor for myself and it was crunchy, and had mild flavors (not too salty. not too strong flavors). The puffs are about the size of half of a cheeto. Though I can bite through it, it melts in the mouth pretty quickly as well, which should make it easy for infants to eat it. My 16-month old son tried it and seemed to like it. I'm hoping that this does help build my son's tolerance to these types of food, and so far I'd recommend it.These puffs have nearly a 1 yr shelf life (from the time I placed the order) Read more
This snack is unique in that it gently (and slowly) exposes your little one to common allergens such aspeanuts, egg, cow milk, tree nuts, wheat, shellfish, fish, and soy starting between 4-6 months. The idea is that "one spoonful" a day, (or one pack a day) helps your little one's immune system build a defense against food allergens. I can't say for sure if it works, but its along the same idea as eating a spoonful of local honey everyday if you are an adult. The ranch flavor isn't spicy at all, I tried a pack. They are crunchy but also melt quickly so seem to be a good toddler finger food. Only 45 calories if you're a big person watching your diet and wanting a crunchy snack. Read more
These can be compared to the name brand type of crunchy snack. They are similar in texture, size and look. My kids were not fans of the flavor unfortunately. However as a mom, I did like that they are organic. I would be open to trying different flavors and can’t necessarily fault the snack. Everyone has different tastes and I thought they tasted fine. Our baby boy of 8 months love this. Not only this is a healthy snack as I'd rather he has these unlike an unhealthy snack such as chips or cookies. They almost seem to melt in his mouth too so it's safe. Overall, a great snack that doesn't create a huge mess, plus a good way to introduce allergens to the little ones. Read more
