4 stars because the product is extremely thick which makes it hard to apply. I see a lot of people complain about orange results mine turned out exactly as described and i started with dark brown auburn tinted hair. I do think this product is designed for truly dark haired people as it lifts color from your hair. If you're lighter tinted its going to give you an orange result. Make sure you test this color on you scalp before using it!! I made the mistake of not testing it before dying my hair and don’t get me wrong the color is great and paid off but I had a major reaction right when I put the hair dye on! It completely burned right away and actually put little blisters all over my scalp!! Please because careful because this hair dye is really strong with the chemicals in it. Read more

I’m including a before and an after photo. I absolutely loved what this double-lift box dye did for my hair. The red is more beautiful than I expected. I followed the instructions to a T, parting my hair in little sections, keeping to the exact time, and doing my roots last. When I rinsed, the color coming out was orange; I was afraid I was going to have orange hair, but no, it is a beautiful red. I did have blonde front highlights, and so for the fear of damaging my platinum fragile hair, I chose not to leave the red on for too long, so as you can see it’s a lighter reddish/orangish tone. Which is my own doing, had I kept the dye in longer, it would be a pretty red. I also feel that depositing this color, made my hair feel healthier as me shiny. Speaking of shiny and healthy, the conditioner you get is AHMAZING. I kept it on for 35 minutes. Made my hair silky soft. Read more
