My daughter is 24 months, 29lbs and 36" tall. The size 2-3 fits her, but fits really snug around the legs and waist. There is some more fabric in the front, it looks the way it does in pictures on other babies. She normally wears a 3t (sometimes 4t it depends) and I would say she is pretty big for her age. I was worried it was too snug around the legs, but she hasn't complained about it. She has been running around in them to test them out and she seems perfectly happy in them. I ordered two pairs of the hot pink color. I purchased these for an upcoming cruise we are going on. They seem very well made, snug and thick nice material. I will update if I have any issues. Disposible swim diapers were leaking poo in the pool on us....gross. We would get her out and poo would be running down her leg, yikes! Not fun! My friend had the same issue and she got these swim diapers. She said they are a game changer. I'm pretty sure I will put a disposable under this on vacation to make for easier clean up. I imagine you would not have to do that though. The material seems thick enough on its own. I just dont want to be cleaning poo out of diapers on vacation in a tiny cruise ship bathroom. My daughter likes to go #2 in the pool, if you didnt already gather that. Lol! I have previously tried iplay brand reusable swim diapers as well as some others from Amazon. I hated the iplay ones. They were a nightmare to clean. Even with a disposable swim diaper under it, they like absorbed the poo way down in the diaper and it was so hard to clean it out! The poo got way into many layers of the diaper. These diapers dont have any mesh or layers of thick fabric inside to absorb all the poo like the iplay ones, but they are really fitted around the legs and everywhere else so I would think it would keep all the poo in the diaper. I want a swim diaper that has a thick enough fabric to keep poo all in the diaper without needing tons of layers of fabric to absorb poo like the iplay ones. If that makes sense. I dont see poo being able to get through the material this diaper is made out of. It feels like a thick scuba wet suit. There is more coverage around the waist and legs of this diaper vs the iplay one, so better to keep poo in the diaper. I also like that there is more coverage on this swim diaper so if this is worn alone there is no chance your little one will be exposed in any way. The only problem is if your daughter wears a one piece or bikini bottom the legs on the swim diaper may stick out. That's not an issue for us though because my daughter will wear this as her swim bottom and wear a rash guard from swim zip on the top. This swim diaper really doesn't look like a swim diaper. With a rash guard top, it just looks like a cute little pair of short bottoms. It's nice for toddlers who are potty training to not wear a big bulky little baby swim diaper. One thing that really bothered me about the iplay swim diaper is it held water in the diaper like crazy. I was always squeezing the water out. Again, this doesn't have all the layers of fabric to hold in water like that one does. I know they have a wrap thing to go under this swim diaper, but I honestly think I would prefer a disposable swim diaper under it for vacation and when at home I would just have this worn alone. Like I said if this doesnt hold poo or I have an issue with this I will for *sure* update my review. If not, then it worked out fine and my 5 star review stands. Read more

So just have to write this, esp after today’s experience. 1 yr old is 24lbs, and 31.5in. I got the 12-24mo size. It fits perfect. I smelled something, and I knew that the diaper was about to be put to the test. It held up! Seriously kept everything in, it was a very large poop and I would 100% recommended this to anyone looking to keep their pools clean. Read more

I bought this for my 5 month olds swim lessons and the summer. These are very difficult. They are so tight that if they poop it will pull all the poop down their legs and get every where while removing. We quickly learned that the absolute easiest way to have a baby in the pool is to use a disposable swim diaper underneath a swim onesie that zips in the front or back. Most of them look like rompers with short sleeves and short legs. Really just buy disposable diapers and a few zipper swim suits. So much easier and comfortable. I truly don’t believe that anyone with a positive review about this swim diaper has tried something else because of everything we tired before discovering what worked we absolutely hated this one. My sweet little toddler (almost 2) takes swim lessons and they require this diaper with a disposable swim diaper underneath or a regular disposable diaper with a swim diaper under. So after a couple months of swim lessons I decided this and disposable swim diaper is best option. She wears this with her swim diaper and it doesn't swell up 50 times its original size. It fits nicely around her thighs and tummy. She is what some say is tiny .. but in my opinion she is average size. Not chubby not tall. Right around the 50% percentile for her age. So if have a average size toddler or baby go with the normal size but bigger kids might not size up. Read more

This item over a disposable swim diaper has kept all number 2 accidents out of the pool during my sons swim lessons. I haven’t tried it without a disposable swim diaper under yet since he it hasn’t gotten warm enough in our home pool - don’t want to risk ruining swim classes for everyone for a day. The waist and legs are pretty snug on this so I think it would be fine on its own. My son is 13 months old, 22lbs and 31” tall. He doesn’t have very chunky legs and it longer and this still has a good seal. It stretches well so I think it would be ok on a baby with chunkier legs. Dries fast also. Read more

I got these for my 7 month old who is a big boy. 24 pounds. I got size 12 and they were way to small and tight. I thought that would be a good size because my baby isn't chunky, he is just tall. Still way to small and tight especially around the thighs. Bummer because they were super cute and well made trunks! If I order again I would size up to 18 or even 24 months. I just wanted to share my issue with sizing but I think sizing is tough for little ones no matter what company. Read more

I purchased the 12-24 month size when my son was about 9 months. He's 12 months now and measuring at 50% for height and weight and his Happy Nappy is snug. He likes it, I like it, far more convenient than swim diapers where you get peed on if you're carrying them to the pool and they go en route.Good quality neoprene with 2-way stretch fabric sewn into the legs and waist so no poo escapes. We'll be getting another one when he outgrows this one. Read more

This is perfect for my little pool pooper! We ordered a 12-24m for my very thin son. The legs and waist are nice and tight without hurting him. This was also great for the beach. Very little sand was found under the suit! We used a disposable swim diaper under the suit due to his habit of pooping and the mess it creates. Read more

Good. Easy to put on, and works well in the swimming pool. Only problem is I brought 3-6 for my 3month old who is 15lb and it is already very tight. Read more

I do like these. However, I haven’t tried these out in the pool yet and also, my baby is 4 and a half months old and these are size 1-2 years. Errrrm, surely the sizing isn’t right here? Read more

I’ve seen so many good reviews on these so it was only natural that I purchased a pair once starting my swimming journey with my baby. They do not disappoint at all! Nice and snug around the legs and waist, but not so much that mobility is impacted. All swimming nappy contents (and minor spillages) remained within the splash about so couldn’t be happier- after all no one wants to be the reason they shut the pool for a poop clean! Also love that there are so many designs to choose from.I would advise that upon receiving the item the size in the packaging is actually correct. We had ordered an extra large to which the packaging states it was, but enclosed was a large. No stars lost as replacement was posted immediately and arrived next day. Read more

Great swim nappy for baby nice and comfortable with a wide waistband and leg cuffs to hold in any mess without leaving marks. Easy to remove after swimming, but they do require a little patience to pull them up especially on a wriggly baby. We use these in combination with a disposable swim nappy for extra protection in the pool. Like the baby wrap the neoprene fabric of these also help with holding a slippery wet baby. Easy to clean just rinse in fresh cold water and leave to dry. We wash ours in the bathroom then hang in the shower to dry, however a lot of water can be removed by wrapping the wet nappy in a towel and squeezing, this leaves the nappy damp so it can be dried elsewhere if required. The washing instructions just say not to dry outside in sunlight. The Dino pirate print is lovely and appealing to babies. Read more

I got these for my son as he started to learn to swim but I did return this particular pair as i ordered a size too small but my cousin gave me her sons ones which are the same brand hence my review here now. He’s been using them for a few months now and it’s done it’s job. No accidents as of yet and he seems happy enough in them. You can’t machine wash these so I hand wash them after each swim session and wring it out to hang up. It dries pretty quick for the next session.I’m highly recommend this brand for new baby swimmers. Read more
