After noticing a review or two that said this product did not pass the "pinch" test, I was skeptical. However, after contacting the company and receiving a lot of information about the testing and safety of this product, I really like these straws. An earlier version of the straws did turn white when pinched but the company says those are still pure silicone and do not have fillers. Love this product! Im so glad someone thought of making this. I just watched a documentary on netflix about plastics and my daughter have been using plastic straws and cups, so in my effort to support the campaign i decided to buy all kinds of stuff that can replace what we are currently using. Small effort but i think 1 less plastic user should make a difference.UPDATE:I was recently sent their updated straws and I can't tell you enough how much I love their silicone straws, they now come in different fun colors and the straw feels a lot thicker than the first one I ordered and a lot sturdier. We started using the first straw design when my daughter was one and she just learned how to sip from a straw and because it was wide enough, the straw made is easier for her drink her green juice. She is now 4 and (true story) we just moved in October and my mom threw all the straws away, that was really the only time she stopped using it. So, in all honesty, I was extremely happy when they asked if they can send me their updated straw. Now my daughter can continue using it for her drinks and this would be perfect for the silicone lids I got for my 6 month old. Read more

These straws are wide, so good for smoothies. The cleaning tool is very good, again, especially if you drink smoothies. I bought these straws because I want to stop using plastic disposable straws, AND the stainless steel ones I got are hard on my teeth. I use these straws with just open tumblers at home. I don't drink from straws in any of my portable vessels. My hubby, who is retired, washes the dishes that do not go in the dishwasher, and he thought these straws, and their cleaning tool, were amazing. He does not use straws, but like a sweet hubby, he washes mine. If you want to save your teeth and the planet, I do recommend these straws. The colors are not to my taste, but they are modern, up-to-date colors, and I am old-fashioned, so not an issue. Read more

I already own 3 stainless steel with silicone tip straws and I love them but they did not fit inside my 20 oz travel tumbler and that was a big problem for me. So I went looking for other reusable straw types that could fill that gap and I found these silicone straws!These are wonderful, I absolutely adore how flexible they are! I love the squeegee that came with it: makes it super easy to clean and the squeegee also works on my stainless steel straws. All-in-all, I got more value than I initially bought in for.I highly recommend them. I can use them inside my travel tumbler (20 oz, shown here) and slip it inside the very thin lip area the tumbler lid and you can still use the straw, with no loss of suction when using it.Overall, I would definitely buy these again should I ever need to replace them, but I don't think so cuz they're so durable. These straws are WONDERFUL. I drink tea with lemon every morning - a LOT of lemon, I'm a touch obsessed - and I've been repeatedly warned of the effects that can have on my teeth. Originally I bought a stainless steel straw; not really great for hot beverages, since it heats up pretty quick. So I went back and bought these straws and I love them! I can drink hot beverages without melting my lips off, and I don't have to worry about killing off my enamel or getting coffee stains (unfortunately the straws don't kill off the funny looks I get for drinking out of a hot cup with a straw).Added benefit - I can also be THAT girl drinking red wine out of a straw to avoid tooth staining. These straws are wider than a normal straw, so you get a lot more liquid with each sip. They come with a cleaning "wand" and are as easy to clean as they are to drink out of. So, very easy unless you're terrible at drinking out of straws, in which case I would suggest avoiding straws (or avoiding alcoholic beverages - are you drunk?). I have started drinking my morning smoothies with these as well, and they work great for thicker drinks. I've been wanting to get reusable straws to have with me so I can stop using the plastic ones that we all know are problematic for the environment. I originally bought some stainless steel ones, but I just like the idea of silicone better. I like that these are flexible and safe for your teeth. These don't seem too big, though they are larger than a standard plastic straw. I haven't tried using them with standard fast food drink lids but I'm sure it would fit, either by squishing the straw a bit or making the lid opening larger. It was hard for me to believe when my 4 year old said his straw "ripped" while he was using it. Not that it was sliced vertically, it actually tore off an entire section of the ring horizontally. These became very brittle and 3 out of the 4 straw-ends tore completely off. We only used each straw once and hand washed. They did not go in the dishwasher. As an invalid, I am obliged to drink using a straw. Now I can avoid adding trash to our damaged environment while drinking comfortably from these soft- textured, hygienic (cleaning brush supplied) silocone straws. Wider than the plasic ones, I find I can gulp fast on thirsty days unlike with the plastic ones! Costly, but I don't regret my choice. Read more
