I purchased this relaxer about a year ago. I was natural and changed my mind about straightening my hair after purchasing it. There it sat in the bathroom cabinet collecting dust. About 3 months ago I decided that I wanted to straighten my hair with a relaxer. After 3 years of being natural, I never figured out how to care for natural hair. I kept losing a handful of hair every time I combed or washed my hair. I purchased 2 haircare books and tons of products. I have 2 cabinets and 3 storage containers with products I purchased that did nothing to help my hair. I was reluctant to relax because I feared by hair would fall out from the process. I was wrong! My hair is so straight and silky. I am only losing a few strands now instead of a whole handful. I wish I had done this sooner. I purchased a good post relaxer treatment that is used after relaxing but before shampooing (Optimum Smooth by Softsheen Carson). I have fine 3C spanish curly hair that is hard to manage and it gets frizzy easily because it’s not course.My husband helped me apply this product after I did the strand test.It worked exactly as it said it would. Since I had never tried this product before I only left it in about 13 minutes.It left my hair with soft loose waves that are so much easier to manage.I absolutely love being able to relax my hair at home. I have used this product 3 to 4 times for probably the last 20 years and I continue to use it because it works for my fine, fuzzy to kinky hair. I color my hair with a semi-permanent hair product and use Precise because it is made for those of us who color our hair. Because my hair does undergo the stress of these two procedures, I give it a good deep conditioning at least once a month. Not strong enough for corse hair didn’t straighten my hair much. Also used the 2nd batch on my moms hair which had grey in it and it turned her grey slightly green! Thankfully it wasn’t to bad and has since washed out mostly. Didn’t burn or irritate at all. Read more
