The size of the mirror is very nice. Looked good on my desk. Unfortunately, the quality of the 7x side was bad. It was completely distorted, I was getting a headache trying to focus on it in order to just get a stable view. I use this mirror on a bathroom shelf. I end up moving it around/flipping it over to the other side pretty often, and I find it to be top heavy and a bit unstable. I'm nervous it will topple over and break if I accidentally bump it. I think this would be best used on a table or somewhere with low risk of being knocked over. I've never had a table mirror like this so I can't compare it with other products. I will say that the reflection on both sides is perfectly clear, much better than those shaving mirrors I have come across in hotel bathrooms.It is small, which is great - I don't want a large mirror taking up counter space. The reflective surface itself is 5"x 7". The base of the stand is 6 3/4" across and the total height from the bottom of the stand to the top of the frame is 8 1/4" inch.It also has a "rubberized" coating, which means it is less prone to being knocked off a wet counter top.And since it has a purely functional, non-frilly design and a matte black finish, it is a good "guy" mirror. Pros: This mirror feels sturdy. It stays in place when you position it. The surfaces are clear and unblemished. It has a somewhat slip free feel to the surface. - Slightly rubberized.Cons: Because of the way the magnifying side is shaped, it can be hard to find a focus point. Especially if you are trying to look at the side of your face (for example). It has no hole in the base for hanging on the wall, for a hook or screw. The pivot points are on the long sides of the rectangle - so it's more of an up and down view, than a side to side view. ( which I feel takes away from its usefulness ).I bought this as a replacement mirror. The mirror it replaced had a round magnifying side. I find the round preferable due to the even distortion around the sides. The magnification side on this mirror is rectangular, and the distortion is somewhat uneven.Over all not a bad mirror. I really like this mirror. The plastic has a grippy feel and it's very solid and sturdy. I had another mirror prior to this that was a hard clear plastic and it broke when it fell. This seems really durable. I received it quickly and it was also a good price. Read more
