We have a saltwater pool in our home so we swim almost every day. I dampen my hair with cool water and spray this in the ends before I swim so that my hair doesn’t absorb the salt and it is amazing. I will use it in my hair after if I don’t use it before I go in. The product seems great. The smell seems fine like any other conditioner spray. Actually it’s subtle which I like. Not sure why some reviews stated the smell is so horrible. This stuff is awesome. I have a 6-year-old with long, fine, thin hair. Usually a nightmare to comb out after swimming, but after using this on her hair before she swam, it was no problem to comb through it, even after being in the pool for over 6 hours. My little one is 3, with very long, thick, curly hair. Her hair gets tangled in a heartbeat. I used this spray on her too, and it worked so good. No tangles at all.Both girls spent almost a week swimming daily for 6+ hours a day in a mixture of chlorine pools and saltwater pools, and their hair looks better after the trip than before we left. We are absolutely in love with this spray! And I can't believe there are people saying negative comments about the smell because it is one of the best smelling hair products we have! We live in the pool and brushing hair after was always a struggle and tears, not anymore. This and a Wet Brush go thru the hair so easily. I even used it on my friend's daughter who has super thick and course hair and right thru when I did it in sections, both her and her mom couldn't believe it. So yes get this! I teach swim lessons and my hair has been damaged after years of spending hours of my life in the pool. I finally caved and bought this. Typically when I got home from work my hair was so tangled that I couldn't get a brush through it. With this product I get my hair wet on deck, spray it in, put it in a ponytail, and get in the water. This is an amazing detangler!!! Especially for swimming purposes. If we go to beach all day I spray a little before hand. If it’s for swim class or water play I spray after. I have used other So Cozy Products and they were fine, but this product smelled so bad my daughter couldn't wait to get to the pool to wash the scent off of her hair and refused to use it ever again. I agree with her. The smell was terrible. I don't like coconut and it smelled like that with extra perfume. We have asthma and allergies and this was not the right product for us. It smells toxic.
