Real Slippery Elm Inner Bark is off white and very soft, not gritty. It turns to gel as soon as you add water. It tastes fresh and has hints of maple and fenugreek. This product is none of these things. Save your money. Read more

Tastes really nasty, but after a month my psoriasis is finally showing some improvement. I had it over 90% of my body for last 4 years and nothing was prescription creams were not working more than a week at a time. I am still continuing my Clobetasol applications and for the first time in years I have seen real improvement. Tastes really nasty, so take my advice and add a little honey. I use a Hotshot instant water heater and pour it into a coffee cup with a teaspoon of Slippery Elm Powder and stir it really well. Plus I have cut back on my red meat and potato consumption and also use Yellow Saffron tea. At this rate I will soon be back in shorts and long sleeve shirts. That's a big deal when you live in Florida. Read more

Prior to the purchasing of the slippery elm power, I spent hours perusing YouTube hair videos. Needing to find a more healthier way of detangling and maintaining my natural hair. I've been chemical free for awhile and all the videos I'd watched made claims of it detangling powers as well as making the hair more manageable. I followed their directions, I purchased distill water, various oils, even buying marshmallow root to help increase the slip for my hair. I was determined to make this work. But was disappointed when I didn't get no more slip to my hair than using warm water and Aussie conditioner mix. Frankly, the conditioner mix worked better! For internal usages, I don't know if this is permitted at all from this brand. So, I can't speak on that but for the hair.. didn't work for me. I have 4b & 4c, low porosity natural hair and it appeared as though it would work. But to no avail! I'm super disappointed. So, buyers you will have to take a chance on it. I don't know if it was the brand name, manufacturer.. I don't have the slightest idea. It was a waste of my time and money. I really dont know how many stars to give it frankly but I settled for 2. I previously was concerned that it didn't "gel" up but I was using hot water cooler water. When I boiled water, then added and let it sit, it did "gel" up a little more. Still not super thick but I didn't want my previous review to hinder someone that this product could maybe help. No "fillers" according to the ingredient list. So far, no improvement to my daughters psoriasis but we hope it will eventually aid in healing her gut.(this is just one step of several.) I'm taking it with her every morning and we did notice we can "sing" better so it must be healing to the throat and vocal chords. Best of luck to everyone. I'm an Arizona native- this review is legit. Read more

This product has very low value for money. I have tried another slippery elm extract powder at much cheaper price point (less than $1/oz). The product people got the pricing wrong on this one.The effectiveness is not palpable. Whereas the one I tried at lower cost was showing effects within two weeks, this specific product did not show me any impact despite of complete consumption as prescribed.Presentation is very old school. They need to get lessons from Bulk Supplements or Microingredients for presentation.I will not recommend this to anyone. Read more

After researching aids for stomach problems, and out of desperation because nothing was working and I thought I had stomach cancer or something, I purchased the Slippery Elm Powder. I began to supplement it instead of my morning cup of coffee, then another sometime during the day. I didn't use honey or any other sweetener just the hot water. After about three days, I noticed a difference in the way I was feeling. My symptoms of: Nausea in the morning, gnawing stomach and feeling stomach discomfort throughout the day were dissipating and eventually gone. I did stop using the product once my issues were cleared without any more problems. Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend Slippery Elm Powder. Hopefully, I will never need to use it again! Read more

I am a big fan of Baar products and I wrote a review of some of their other products. I ordered "Slippery Elm Bark Powder" from this listing for my psoriasis. I ordered from the PA Dutch General Store because the price was a little cheaper. I did not recieve the Baar product. The PA Dutch General store packages their powder in a plastic baggy, and I was expecting to be dissapointed. . . . but it is by far the best "Slippery Elm Bark Powder" I have tried.I have seen others comment that you want the bark from near the inside of the tree. You will know when you got "the good stuff" when the powder forms a THICK gel in warm water. The PA Dutch General store product forms a paste thick enough for the spoon to stand up in. I use about 1 teaspoon, and 8 oz of warm water. I have been using the Baar product for several months (every morning) with mixed results. After a few days with the PA Dutch General Store loose product, I saw noticeable results within just a few days.I probably sound like some celebrity endorser or something, but I can't say enough good things about this after suffering so long with psoriasis. I have pink patches, where once I had scaley dry itchy peely flakes!Thank you! Read more

This really helped with my gastritis. I started off by drinking it before each meal. Eventually I was able to go to twice a day and then none. I use it occasionally now when heartburn irritates my throat. You can feel the calming effect it has on an irritated stomach or throat. Read more
