Tired of heat creep getting you down and ruining your prints? Eliminate it with the Copperhead Bimetallic Heat Break. Unlike most heat breaks which are monolithic (composed of only one material), the Bimetallic Heat Break is composed of multiple materials. Like a composite, these heat breaks use the differing material properties of the two metals (super conducting copper and poorly conducting hardened steel) to force the heat from your 3D printer to go where it should. The copper allows the heat to distribute evenly in the hot section, the hardened steel prevents the heat from moving up the filament path, and the copper in the cold section rapidly dissipates any heat to the heat sink. Bring some materials engineering technology to your 3D printer, eliminate heat creep, and be happy with your 3D printer again

Slice Engineering Copperhead Heat Break for ender 3 v2 and thermal paste for assembly. Received the parts quickly. Spent almost 2 hour cleaning everything up and installing new heat break and thermal paste. Recalibrated the Z offset did a few small test prints to verify Z offset. And printed a articulated dragon. It is a noticeable improvement. I increased my print speed 10% with improved print quality. The heat break was a little pricey, it is a direct replacement upgrade, and of very good quality. In my case the heat break was well worth the extra cost.My extruder, hotend and fan assemblies required no other modifications installing was very straightforward. I'm happy with the upgrade and would do to another printer. Thank you. Read more

i had massive issues with clogs on the stock ender 3 and ender 5 plus, after this simple upgrade its been nothing but smooth. Great upgrade to a Mk8 cooler and maybe the cheapest of the high end upgrade options on creality Mk8 hot ends. Read more

Threading is slightly longer than creality stock so the nozzle doesn't bury into block. Also you must relieve your bed due to the z change of your hotend Read more

I now have one of these in each of my three printers (ender 3, Ender 5+, flsun Super racer). Hours and hours of printing with zero issues. If you're tired of clogging or want to go hotter without worrying about your bowden tube, do yourself a favor and get one. Read more

I'm pretty new to printing, but have learned a lot of lessons in the past few months. One was the burning of the PTFE tube end at the nozzle. I decided to try this heat break based on some YouTube recommendations. Wow! what a difference.First, be sure to do all your calibrations before making any serious prints. I found my filament estep setting drop a lot. Also all of my filaments are printing 5-10 degrees cooler. Most important, after doing print speed testing I found I can print at almost twice the original speed with what I consider an increase in print quality. I am really getting better prints in about half the print time! PLA, PETG and ABS so far.Is it an expensive add-on? Yes, but of all the things I've bought to expand my printer this is the #1 best purchase. It is truly a game changer!Last, I did buy the Slice boron paste. I can't say for sure if it makes a difference, but for those who may wonder if my results included that, it did. If you don't see the same results you, and you didn't apply the paste, I'd suggest trying it before you get discouraged. Read more

This Bi-Metal heat break relocates the Bodin tube higher in the heat sink so you can print at hotter temps and not melt the tube. I've been printing nylon at 290-300c with no issues yet. I've checked the tube at least 5 times so far and there is still no damage from the heat. This product is awesome, you get to keep your stock ender 3 hot end but you can print at high temps.I have not noticed any issues with the stock heat block with printing in the 300c range. But please be advised, the stock heater block may not stand up to higher temps. To combat this issue, I plan on buying the Slice Engineering heater block with heat break very soon.As a first time purchase from this company, I can safely say that their products are top notch and I will be buying other products from them. Just installed and a few prints in, seems to work good, I already had a upgraded boden tube so don’t know how necessary it was. Installed on a voxelab Aquila x2 with no issues. I did try a cheap brand one and it was totally the wrong dimensions, my advice just get this one and save you some time. Read more
