I will admit, at first try I thought this was just going to fall out of my mouth and not even work. I have a small mouth, but had to set it opposite of what it said for a small mouth for it to work I think. Anyway, I have worn mouth guards for years, both dentist created ones and over the counter purchases. I hate wearing them. My mouth is small and it feels like I can't breath with so much plastic in my mouth and so I end up taking them out of my mouth when I sleep usually, and then have to find them the next morning. This is the only one I have tried that is not suffocating to me AND it actually works as well! It takes some getting used to, but once you do, it works great! I have only had it come out once at night, versus almost every night with other mouth guards I would take them out when I was sleeping because they felt so restrictive and could not handle a mouth full of plastic. This is just only the amount of plastic needed in your mouth. So glad I found this! Read more
I brux so loudly that I wake my partner often. I also have TMJ. So these are a GODSEND!!!! Many decades ago I had a VERY expensive one made by a doctor. I've had another doctor try to give me one that is like a football player's mouth guard. I GAG! I spit them out at night. I can't wear them! The Splintek is SO much more comfortable. I gave it a 4 for comfort because there is a spot where it rubs the gums a bit... but it's worth it to me! I've also had it embedded in the inside of my cheeks in the morning. I think that's my fault from whatever I'm doing with my mouth at night and so I won't blame the product.I got one of these when they first came out and had only one option. It was GREAT for MANY years. It never broke nor did I bite through, but it did wear down after 10+ years. When they started selling them in the stores, I went ahead and bought another at a retail store. It promised to last longer. I really hate it. It's Splintek also, but the things between the teeth are SO HARD that they made my teeth hurt in the morning. There was no give. So I ordered this one that promises "comfort" and I love it! I love that it's adjustable. I love that it doesn't make me gag. I love that it protects my teeth from my grinding. I love that I don't have headaches in the morning when I wear it because it protects me jaw from all of the pressure from the grinding. I love that it helps "train" the muscles to keep a bit of distance between my teeth. I also have a bad habit of biting my lips, especially while in the car. So I love that I can wear this and it keeps me from biting. After some time I heal and will stop, but anytime stress picks back up I can use this to re-break that bad habit. For ME... this is a must-have and this one works the best. Read more
I was waking up with terrible headaches and my sleep dr (I have sleep apnea) couldn't figure out why. Went for a regular dental checkup and my dentist told me I grind my teeth heavily and recommended I get a dental guard immediately. He suggested I try an off-the-shelf version before considering a custom-made (much more expensive) one from his office (that was nice of him). I found this brand at Target but they don't stock it anymore so I am happy that I found them on Amazon. This model was formerly known as the Slim-Comfort. The bitewings swivel and are adjustable to 4 positions yet the whole apparatus is minimal so it doesn't feel so invasive in my mouth (I had tried the boil kind before and couldn't sleep because it was too bulky and bothered my mouth). As soon as I started to use this brand/model, my headaches stopped. SO thankful. Read more
After benefiting from this product for a long time, I feel like that it deserves a review... This is the only mouth guard that works for me! I grind my teeth a lot and HARD unconsciously, especially when I'm sleeping. Aside from hurting my teeth (haven't been a problem...yet!), grinding exhausts my jaw and creates a constant tension on muscles from my chin all the way to the top of my head. I realized that my constant headache and tiredness of my eyes are the results of my non-stop grinding.I started using this mouth guard a while ago (maybe a year or two?). This is actually the very first kind that I tried. It worked fine at the time. Overtime, I decided to try on other types, including the super popular and highly rated ones (the kind that allows you to custom mold your own) -- which really did NOT help me at all! The custom molded ones may be effective to prevent damage on your teeth from rubbing against each other, but really does not help for releasing stress of my jaw muscles. Instead, this mouth guard creates a bigger gap between your top and bottom teeth, which is essential (to me at least) for reducing usage of certain muscles when grinding.Anyway, this one works the best for me, while others may prefer else-wise products. Try it if others don't work for you. Read more
I keep ordering different guards and hoped this would be the one. Nope. A few years ago I was able to find comfortable guards in the drugstore. Not anymore and not here. I need one that is not so hard - I am a clencher. This one is so hard that my canine hurts and it feels really big in my mouth. I have soft ones I have been using, but there are old and need replaced. I will keep trying. Read more
I bought this to help with clenching. I found it to be comfortable and easy to use and clean. Doesn’t need to be heated and molded. You can adjust the size by a slide on the sides. I would say the hardness of the bite material is just on the soft side of medium. Good for me, not sure about grinders.I used a molded one before this and hated it. This one is very different. Recommended to give it a try. Read more
Value for the cost can't be beat. perhaps there are viable competitors out there by now, but I've not seen them. At the time I first tried this, overnight mouthgaurds were either awful and very uncomfortable, or were custom creations costing over $1000 USD. And given they do wear out after a while, it can literally save thousands to use this one, over time. It is so far, the most comfortable guard I've tried. Still a little annoying at times, of course, but so very much better than the headaches, toothaches, and tooth damage from bruxism. Read more
Far too expensive and not comfortable Read more
Very comfortable to wear, a lot better (comfort & cost) than what I've paid at the dentist for a night guard. Very quick shipping! Was reluctant at first to purchase due to price, but am very glad I did. Read more
Yes there's a size adjustable sides; however, the center kinda flops in your mouth on your teeth. If you don't clench your jaw the sides float about and is essentially just.piece of plastic on your mouth, border line chocking hazard.Would not recommend. Read more
tel que décrit, parfait et plus résistant que ceux achetés habituellement Read more
It is difficult to adjust. It's not the best fitting thing..but it does do the job. Read more
