I had a fissure and it was horribly painful. Out of desperation I searched for products and this soak had good reviews. I ordered and used in a sitz bath. I soaked for 20 minutes in hot water and this product. The pain was reduced to a bearable level. The next day I realized I no longer had pain after my BMs. It appears to have made what ever was giving me pain shrink and drain. I have absolutely no more pain. I am beyond happy with this product because I tried everything 2 weeks prior to purchasing this soak ointments with lidocaine and special I pads for hemrrhoid pain nothing helped until I got this soak. So, I finally got my first external hemorrhoid and this bad boy would not go away. Initially, there was some pain which went away after some time but the hemorrhoid itself remained. It was large and bothersome.First, I purchased some cream off of Amazon which had great reviews (came in an orange tube) which did not do anything for me, so I had to look elsewhere.Next, I went to my PCP and got a prescription for prescription strength Hydrocortisone cream. This still did not work. Again, I had to look elsewhere.Lastly, I ordered the Sitz Bath Soak (this product) along with the "Yunga Tart Seatz Bath". I figured if near 5* orange tube Amazon product and the prescription strength Hydrocortisone didn't work then this method wouldn't work either. I was willing to give it a shot and I'm glad I did.After my first 20 minute "bath" with warm water and the Sitz Bath Soak, I noticed MASSIVE shrinkage the following day. Up to this point, I had not seen any results and figured I'd have to go back to my doctor and have him use one of the other methods to get rid of the external hemorrhoid (using a band to have it fall off or give it a shot). I have very sensitive skin especially in the "sitz bath department" lol, even psoriasis . I am reluctant to use any product that has a fragrance. But I needed something desperately for hemorrhoids, so I ordered this and a seat for the toilet. I have had zero irritation from it and it is helping my problem. Great product that was a great addition for irritation relief. However, I found the ultimate cause of my hems was dehydration. I had no idea that could cause them until I ended up at the doc office and testing showed I was dehydrated. Excuse me for being brutally honest, but this is the best soaking bath sitz👍. It smells divine when you first open it. It leaves your hands so soft while you mix it with the water & it feels so wonderful while your soaking your tush in it. I tried using plain epsom salt at first for my sitz bath, not sure what happened but it was downright PAINFUL. I was trying to help myself recover after my labor and just using plain epsom salt made my pain so terrible. Decided to try a salt specifically meant to help with postpartum care. The smell is a bit strong but it’s not bad. It was MUCH more soothing than plain epsom salt. I actually enjoyed my sitz bath this time around.
