These cups are great apart from one key issue; over time they get sticky! I bought this for my grandmother because regular cups are too large for her to handle with her arthritis. This cup has been a game changer. But like many other people, I noticed after a few washes that the cup developed a sticky coating on the outside. No one seems to know why this happens. Because it's otherwise a perfect cup I really didn't want to send it back.The solution: Rub a few tablespoons of vegetable oil on the outside of the cup. Then, with the scrubby part of a sponge, gently scrub the outside for a few minutes. Wash with dish soap in cold water and dry with a towel. The stickiness should be gone. Read more

This is an adorable cup. We bought three, but this review is for the girls fox cup. The issue is the outside design. My daughter used and washed the cup three times. After the third wash it was super sticky on the outside. We thought she ate something sticky but what it is is the design on the cup. It almost like fake tattoos. How the more they get wet, they get sticky and start peeling off. That's what happened to this cup. We actually had to take alcohol wipes to clean the design off bc it was so sticky and everything was sticking to it. It was very gross. We also purchased a Mickey cup and a Mickey outer space cup and those seem fine. It's just this particular cup for us. We didn't scrub it with a brillo pad or anything either. Straw is not long enough. We were looking for a replacement to the contigo water bottles since they are on recall and thought we’d give this one a try. While the design and prints are cute and easy to clean, when a toddler tilts the bottle to drink the straw then no longer touches the water when there is in fact water still in the bottle! This is by far the BEST water bottle/ brand I have ever gotten for my daughter. Having a 15 month old spill her water in the car and all over herself all the time with “spill proof” sippy cups have been a nightmare. Her simply modern 10 oz bottle is perfect in size, easy to hold, leak proof and efficient for her to drink without spilling ( sometimes even upside down) it is a beautiful design and amazing quality for the price. It even comes wrapped up nicely upon arrival. Everything comes apart for the dishwater and holds up well. I have a thermos from them and it keeps her water cold all day. This cup is not made to handle temperature changes, such as going from cold to room temperature. The rubber stopper behind the straw is not designed to let air out, only in. So any pressure change causes the water to shoot out of the straw. My 1.5 year old got an unpleasant dousing when he opened his cup and water flung out at him. The Thermos brand ones are better but they stopped making them. The Thermos brand cups (with a hard straw) have the stopper built into the straw so that it is only sealed when the straw is in the down position (closed).The straw is quite wide for my little guy and the cup will not fit in standard size cup holders, only the bigger ones.I will not be buying more. Instead I will be looking to purchase more Thermos brand ones (if I can find them). Read more

We had previously purchased the same water bottles from the same brand and they were great! My 2.5 year olds used them daily and the design started to come off, so I decided to order new ones. The new ones are TERRIBLE! Not sure if they changed how they make them, but the straw is too long, so it hits the bottom of the bottle and bends and my kids say they don’t work well. When they drink it sounds like air is getting in. These also LEAK when they are tilted or laying on their side. The previous bottles did not leak, which I loved. Was not the best for us. Easy to pull the straw out from the top, cup feels heavy and my toddler tried to hold it from the straw all the time and it just kept on being pulled out of the cup. If the cup tips over spills easily as well, cup became sticky and stayed that way after hand washing it many times. It doesn’t feel right to hold a sticky cup all the time. The color of the cup was nice, a delicate design which is rare to find- but overall this may be a better option for older kids/ adults. Read more
