I bought this as a first birthday gift for my twins and it’s been a lot of fun so far! They’re only mildly interested in rocking in it right now- although I’m hoping they will be later- but they LOVE crawling up and down the stairs, and standing on the top of the steps to reach the window in our playroom. We did use it as a boat for their “camping” themed birthday party, and the kids that came had a blast! I really wanted to love this toy when I saw it on Amazon, but unfortunately I boxed it back up 5 minutes after my daycare kids tried it out. It is super sturdy and well-made, BUT, with four kids in it, ages 2,3,3 and 4, they were all squished together uncomfortably. (See my photo) Their legs hit each other’s and their feet were on top of one another’s. There just isn’t room for 4 as far as I can see. Then when they began to try to make it rock, they nearly bumped heads. So it’s a safety issue as well. As far as flipping it over to use as stairs, they loved that. And it was very solid. This toy has been worth every penny! I bought it for my youngest grandsons 1st birthday. I keep it at my house and every night he comes over to visit and asks for his "boat". He LOVES it! At first he liked the stairs but he is advanced for his age and goes up and down the real stairs in our houses so that is not a challenge for him. I ordered this for our preschool program in a child care center. I can say I am thrilled with it. You can use it two way. Either as a rocking/ teeter totter you or you can flip it and use it like a little set of stairs/bridge. The children love playing make believe in it. Sometimes it’s a boat, sometimes a bridge, sometimes I’ll be honest I have no idea but they all just love it. Additionally is a great toy to development gross motor skills, help them learn to share and help burn off energy when we are indoors. The kids love it if we set it up in an obstacle course. When contacting Simplay3, I get no response other than a Direction to a link to Product Return info, to check shipping return agreement (information Is buried in product info). Return charges are an outrageous $430.00 per UPS. This is because the item is SO LARGE it cannot ship via ground. It must ship via Air. My 5 and 2 year old love to sit inside of it and rock back and forth. My 2 year old loves when it is used as stairs and goes up and down. It's good exercise for her too. It's a great solid toy. Read more
