After a lot of research of mini crib mattresses in my budget, I decided to give this one a chance, because it seemed to be a perfect balance of safety, good reviews, and price. The package arrived fine; however, the mattress had a permanent dent near one of the edges with a smudge/stain right in the center of it as if something fell on it (packaging was not damaged). This was not my biggest concern as I initiated the return without issue and had even ordered a replacement right away to get that out of the way. Upon opening the smell was very noticeable, but I thought it was due to the mattress being bagged and boxed for a long time and just figured it would go away in a few hours. I went ahead and had my 10 month old sleep on it. It was comfortable to the touch and he seemed to like it, but that night and he kept waking up. Each time I went to check on him the smell was stronger. His room was petrified with that smell! I took him out and his clothes smelled the same! I can't believe I had him at the source of the toxic smell for so long! Look up what makes a crib mattress smell and you will rethink putting your baby and your home at risk. The tag for this mattress says that it is "100% polyester".Waterproof cover is made of nylon (vs others made of unsafe vinyl).No fiberglass for flame retardant.Weave-like feeling. Kind of similar to Newton Baby's more expensive mattress when pressed down.Upon arrival, I aired the mattress for a day since it was sealed in a plastic cover. After 24 hours, the smell was pretty neutral.No BPA or polyphenol fumes as you would encounter with memory foam mattress on the market.I use an ikea waterproof pad, a mattress cover, and thin cotton sheet. My baby sleeps soundly and goes down for naps faster with this new mattress. I press down on it with this setup and wonder why I didn't buy this in the first place. I purchased this mattress for my delta mini crib about 4-5 weeks ago, ironically around the time that my son was having his 5 month regression and this thing saved my life haha!He sleeps 9-10 hours waking once to feed (he’s 6 months) which tells me that he’s comfortable. The mattress is firm but I wouldn’t say it’s hard. We do have a mattress pad on top for waterproof purposes but regardless I think he likes it.It fits our delta mini mattress perfectly so he’s able to stay in our bed for a little bit longer before transitioning him to his own room. With that said I actually like the firmness of the mattress because it’s identical to the delta mattress I have for his full size crib so I think it will make the transition much easier for him.All in all great purchase Read more

I love this mattress and I'm pretty sure my 15 month old loves it too! We still breastfeed and he was waking up a couple times a night and wants to nurse back to sleep. The very first night that we traded out our old mattress for this one, he sleeps through the entire night! We've had this mattress for at least 1 week now and his sleep has been wonderful every night since.This mattress is so soft and comes with a nice, t-shirt style crib sheet with it. This Mattress is really nice and the price is great if you're on a budget. It feels premium and has no chemical smell. It says that it waterproof but just by feeling the texture of the mattress, I'm not sold that it is 100% waterproof. Read more
