These scissors look and sound great, but I have two issues with them which has caused me to return them. For one thing, they are too small for adult hands and I have petite hands. If that were the only issue, I could deal with it, but the safety button feature is very frustrating. You can't make a full cut like you naturally do when cutting something or else it closes the blades and locks in place. Maybe it's just me, but it's not natural to make half a cut and then start again, especially on a small item that you should be able to cut in half with one try. I can't even cut a strawberry in half because the blades are so short that if I make a full cut, the blades lock.The safety button is a two handed feature, which I appreciate for my child's sake, but it's difficult to do while in the middle of food prep and you didn't expect the scissors to lock up. I've decided it's not worth fighting the scissors every time so I will return and probably just use a regular pair of scissors.I am sad to return them because they look great, come in appealing packaging and the blade covers are a great plus too. im neither a child or a parent. i'm a college student who recently got braces and can't chew in full bites. it gets annoying to ask for knife and scissor wherever i go and i found this. i thought it's expensive at first but it's really worth the price! its small enough to carry around and has a cover. there's a lock thing that's kinda cool so it doesnt get loose and cut you or ur bag. im not surprised kids figure this out in a short time, its the simple push to unlock mechanism so parents need to be careful. the blade is very sharp, i cut myself once when i washed it so be careful! i've cut throught all kind of meat, veggies, noodles, potato,seafood and a lot more stuffs with no prob. the handle is strong and its smooth so i'm able to cut my food quickly everywhere i go (though my friends judge me lol) Read more

We look these food scissors. Especially when eating noodles! Instead of my son making a huge mess trying to slurp the noodles, we can quickly cut them down to size for him. We love these scissors so much that we bought multiple, maybe 7 or 8 so we have some in a snack Ziploc with his spoon and fork all ready in the diaper bag(s). Plus, having multiple on travel adventures makes it easier so that you have enough to cover you throughout all the meals for the day. Then, when you get back to the hotel you can wash them. I bought these scissors so it would be easier to cut up my daughters food. I have used them for everything from cutting up lunch meat, fruit, to toast and waffles. I have also used them to cut up spaghetti. I have not had any issues with them cutting through any food item. I didn’t realize how sharp the scissors were until I cleaned them. I was using my fingers to wipe them off and sliced my finger open. Lesson learned!! I now use a rag when washing or I throw them into the top rack of my dishwasher. I do not use the protective case that came with the scissors. I just put them in the back of my silverware drawer with my larger silverware items. Read more

Im writing this review solely on the "anti-rusting property it claims to be. When I first received the scissor, before first used, I washed it by hand and put it in the bottle sterilizer to clean it. I didn't take it out right away and a day later when I went to get it, there was already rust on the blade! I didn't even get to use the scissor, so I can't say if it's easy to use. When I went to Japan few months later × bought a different one there which is actually made in Japan, didn't have this problem. Read more

Love these scissors! We use it to cut up all kinds of food for my 10 month old as he's learning to eat solids. They're very sharp and haven't experienced any rusting problems so far yet. I wipe it dry every time I use it when I'm out and would wash it when I get home. They're also small and very portable. I love how it comes with a little cover to protect the sharp ends so you can just throw it into your diaper bag. It's pretty small and not bulky at all. Easy to use. Cute small scissors I can put in my baby bag when traveling. Read another review of rusting on the blades. As long as you let them fully dry, I don’t see an issue with them. Lock feature is great and works wells. Plastic cover sleeve for the blades could be better because the plastic snaps will eventually wear out and break off. Overall satisfied and would recommend. I needed portable scissors so I can cut my baby’s food on the go. Found these little guys and got them. I had no issues with it locking without my say so. It is pretty sharp for food and since I never tried to cut flesh with them, can’t say if they’re cut proof, but no accidents thus far.The little sleeve it comes with clicks around just the blade. I actually wish the sheath was a case that closed around the entire scissor but it’s a minor detail that doesn’t detract from the actual scissor itself - just give the scissors a good wiping if the handles got dirty as well.All in all, fairly content with these!
