It's unreal the damage this did to my healthy head of fine but dense hair. I wanted to try it to add a little gold highlighting. I only used it about 5 times. Now my entire head of hair is completely dry, brittle and most of it has fallen out. I know it's this stuff because all the hair coming out has this golden cellophane type look/texture to it. And it has this weird stretchiness to it. And all my new hair that's growing in at the top is normal color and healthy. This should be yanked from the market. I don't know which ingredient causes it to do all the damage but man do I regret using this. I've tried cutting several inches off of my hair but it still has a long way to go before my normal hair replaces it. It's just a fried, dried out, brittle, coarse mess...and there's a distinct line where the conditioner parts end and my normal hair begins. I almost wish I could cut all my hair off and start over. Clumps and clumps of hair fall out every single day. My hair was so thick and healthy, now it's so thin and I can see my scalp all over my head. DON'T DO IT!!!!! Such a mistake!!! UGH!! I'm kicking myself for using this crap!! Read more

Brings out natural highlights and shine, just like it says on the package! Doesn't do much for detangling or volumizing though, so I combine it with other brands for that. Read more

The Shikai Henna Gold Conditioner leaves my fine hair silky and shiny without weighing it down. I have tried many conditioners and this one is the best. Read more

Works well on my hair to keep my color in longer and it provides a nice brunette highlighted sheen. The only issue was the packaging. It came damaged and the product leaked in the packaging. Amazon, was great and informed me to keep the remaining product and provded a full refund. It was a good way to let me figure out that its a great product. I will be purchasing it again!! Read more

I have thick porous hair. This product is not for me. I didnt notice any noteworthy shine, my hair didnt feel soft after using this conditioner either. I will not be using again. I cant speak for how it will work for people who have fine and thinner hair but it sure didnt work for my thick and porous mane! Will not order again. Waste of my money. Read more

I'm really quite puzzled by the negative reviews for this product. This is actually the first conditioner (which I use in combination with the Henna Gold shampoo) that has well and truly transformed my hair. I've tried loads of natural and not-so-natural brands promising shine and restoration with no luck. Prior to using Henna Gold, my hair was over-processed from hair color, dull, dry and falling out in worrying amounts. I've been using both the shampoo and conditioner for about three months and taking vitamin supplements (iron and biotin) and there has been a marked improvement. It provides incredible shine, greater strength and snap and it has even made my wavy hair a lot more manageable and a little straighter, all while I am still coloring my hair. The shampoo sudsed very well. The condition is rather creamy in consistency and not thick and waxy. I prefer a thinner conditioner because it rinses out easier and I can get out of the bottle without cramping my hand trying to squeeze it out. It has a fresh sort of clipped grassy smell. The product does not alter hair color in any way. To be sure, each will react to a product differently, but I am extremely pleased with the product and the results. I recommend rinsing the conditioner out with coolish water and then working a tiny dab through the towel dried hair before combing out. Read more
