I bought this shampoo/conditioner set for my 3 year old son. I am a licensed hairstylist, so I wanted something good quality and that was specifically formulated for children's hair. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Shea Moisture. This stuff is amazing! It cleanses my sons hair and scalp just enough while still providing moisture and nourishment to his baby curls (because yes he still has baby ringlets). Another major plus is that I washed his hair over 36 hours ago, it still smells wonderful and feels clean! If I could give this stuff more than 5 stars I would. I have ordered this product twice now, with both the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is fine, it does what its supposed to. But the conditioner is TERRIBLE! Both times I bought this the conditioner was extremely hard to get out of the bottle using the pump...i got it to work intermittently and then it stopped coming out all together. The conditioner is pretty thick so i thought that maybe the pump just couldn't handle it so i added some water and that helped a bit but i was still having problems. On top of that, the conditioner was not that great. my daughters hair was left greasy and filmy. I had already bought the 2nd round of it so I figured i would just use it and move on. I’m so disappointed after reading all the raving reviews I ordered this for my youngest son who had curly super dry hair. The smell doesn’t bother me it’s actually pretty nice. But it left a weird residue in his hair and didn’t moisturize the way I expected it to. I’m so sad that this didn’t work for us and I will keep searching for a shampoo conditioner that will work for his hair. Even tried this on my oldest son who has normal hair that is neither oily or dry and this made his hair sticky and greasy looking. I was already using the coconut and hibiscus detangler, so I wanted to try other products. The shampoo is good, tear free, and already detangle the hair. I’m a little disappointed in the conditionner, I found that is was a little rough on the hair. My daughter just turned 1 and has a lot of hair (curly, shoulder length) . I bought these after reading a few reviews from other parents recommending it. Happy as ingredients are natural, vegan and it smells lovely. I think the shampoo is miles better than the conditioner though. The shampoo cleans well and leaves hair with a real fresh feel. The conditioner is good but at least for our kids, it doesn't leave hair super silky and soft as other reviews mentioned. It does work for us but we still apply some argan oil after each wash so hair feels soft and smooth. I guess it depends on types of hair. My kids have straight and slightly wavy hair. Also, I think the conditioner shouldn't come in a pump type of bottle. Read more
