The older version I got was much better. It was runnier and smelled amazing and did a great job on the quality and shine of my hair. But recently I purchased a couple of containers of this stuff and its different. The outside looks the same but the smell is a little off... it smelled...musty. Also the consistency of the cream was different, this new cream was way thicker... but not in a good way. It actually didn't do much to detangle my hair and it doesn't leave that amazing smell in my hair afterwards anymore. Has anyone else had this problem recently? You guys... I cannot even put into words. I have a very bizarre blend of 3C (nape of neck) 4A (sides and front) and 4B (crown) and this product is the closest I've ever gotten to one that treats all three at once. This pic is without even having used the deep mask treatment or the regular conditioner for shower detangle, so I can't imagine how much better it could get with those. Also there's a good amount of product for the price.I'm Caucasian, hair is average as far as thickness, tends to get frizzy or dry.This product is good for my hair because it has oil and moisture to fight frizz and dryness.If you tend to have 'oily' hair this probably isn't for you unless you're strictly using it for your ends.I wouldn't put this product near the scalp unless your hair is really dry, I'd say it's mostly for your ends.I can see it working for almost any hair type.Good luck, I hope this helps (: Read more

I Was going to return this because i thought I️ received the wrong product, but they just changed the formula. instead of “strengthen and grow “ it’s “strengthen and restore”. Minus the keratin and plus the apple cider vinegar. It makes your hair really soft and has a nice consistency. The only thing is that it smells exactly like playdough, but not too strong of a scent. She moisture has changed their products to contain many harmful ingredients! It started off using great organic ingredients and since the demand for this product has increased they have slowly been substituting the healthy for bad stuff. I used to be a fan of their products until i started noticing the new ones did not make my hair feel like the old ones did. I found an old container of the leave in conditioner and compaired it to the new one I just bought and not only did it look and smell different but the ingredients where way off! They changed the formula and didnt even put it on the bottle! Im done with them! Thats what happens when you have a good product and people are into it! I bought this thinking it was the original formula, turns out it is the new formula that includes Apple Cider Vinegar. Totally different product than what it used to be. As previous reviews have stated: the product is made different and it has a really foul smell to it now. The older product showed visible signs of the castor oil and smelled as such. This one does not and has a very runny consistency. I will not use it in my hair because the product no longer smells like natural products like it used to. It smells like chemicals , and the ingredients are different now. This product is nice, gives excellent definition but I will not use it as a 'leave-in' on my fine 4C type hair!This has 'Apple Cider Vinegar' in it which I did not realise at the time; as I thought it was the one with 'Keratin'.My mistake as some of the jars have a similar color appearance. Please read the fine print.Personally, I will not use this product as a 'leave-in' because for me; it resulted in very dry hair after a couple of treatments over time or maybe my application is all wrong. I found it is best to use this 'leave-in' as a regular conditioner & then rinse thoroughly as vinegar can strip the hair; especially if left on the hair too long. El mejor producto de Shea Moisture que he probado por ahora. Es una marca muy buena. Esto es un acondicionador sin enjuague; es decir, para aplicar después del lavado. NO es una crema de peinar, pero en mi caso realmente es suficiente y no me da necesidad de aplicarme el Smoothie (una crema de peinar de Shea también) que compré antes que este y acartona el pelo un poquito más. Hidrata muy bien el rizo, da brillo e incluso lo define, lo cual no me esperaba. No acartona en absoluto, aunque se necesita muy poco producto. El hecho de que sea bastante líquido a mí me gusta pues no deja pegotes y se reparte mejor por el pelo, no sé por qué hay críticas sobre eso. Huele dulce con un toque de menta. Puede usarse solo o aplicando luego aceite y crema de peinar (método LOC). Altamente recomendado, para cabello rizado, seco o castigado. I have 4b afro hair and have been natural for over 5 years. In that time I have used a lot of different leave in conditioners. This is by far the best leave in conditioner I have ever used. It makes my hair instantly softer to the touch, it detangles my knots and you get a lot of product for your money! The product was well packed and didn't arrive broken. It also has a seal covering it to indicate it is brand new. Really like that. The product itself is nice only use it once but it's good to lock in moisture to my lockd after a deep cleanse. Doesnt define curls on it's own but works well under gel (may vary depending on preference) to define curls (Type 4 hair).
