I have two biracial children. My daughter has blonde semi curly hair and my son is much like me with thick brown super curly hair. This detangler is the absolute best for their hair type! It smells amazing, leaves a very subtle sheen that allows for my sons hair to not look dried out, and the best thing of all is that it doesn't leave a gross residue in their hair like other brands have. Since having such success with my kiddos hair I started purchasing these products for myself (I'm half white and black and struggle to find good hair products due to the mixed chemistry of my hair type). My daughter introduced me to this hair moisturizer. The hair around my temples breaks off. It's been breaking off for years. No more since I started using this.I also use it the night before I color my hair. I use this stuff on my skin! All I can say is wow! I have long straight fine flyaway hair. This stuff tames it. I will order it again and I would even order this as a gift.I don't like putting goop in my hair. That's probably why it breaks and looks so fly away. This stuff is easy peasy. I never leave reviews, but this stuff is so amazing that I had to write about it. My 5 year old daughter has a massive head of hair and a super sensitive head, she ends up crying more times than not every morning when I brush her hair. I have spent so much money on different brushes and sprays to try and get a brush to smoothly go through her hair to no avail. This spray is amazing! A few sprays around her hairline and around her hair and there are almost no tangles. She loves it and actually asked if I could buy some more bottles to leave at her grandparent's houses. Okay don’t buy it. I bought the exact same product at Target before buying this and it was awesome! Amazing smell, great detangler, fantastic! Then I bought this off of Amazon and was bummer because I thought they changed their formula. It was not as bubbly, didn’t smell as strong, and didn’t work nearly as good. For my daughter and I this detangler has been a total game changer!!! We'd gotten to the point where it was a fight to brush through her hair each day. She's old enough to brush it alone, but her hair is very long and thick (each individual hair itself is actually quite thin but she has TONS of it) and it can be challenging for her to get it brushed out really well. Her hair tangles quite easily too and by the end of the day, she would often end up with a little rats nest in the back of her hair. Mornings before school often ended in tears, frustration and more than a few raised voices. It seems ridiculous, but I'm sure that there are other mamas out there that understand what I mean when I say that, I absolutely dreaded having to brush my daughter's hair before school. It was destroying the atmosphere in our home each and every single morning. I'd reached the end of my rope. After doing some research I decided to give the Shesmoisture kids a try. I also purchased a Boar Bristle Brush from Superlative Salons for $14.95. Since buying these two items my daughter asks me every night if I'll brush her hair for a little while before bed. I will continue to by this detangler. Even if I'm given some rave recommendations about another brand, I'm sticking with this because, for us, it works and works well. It smells great, but it's a light smell that is not too strong. It smells summery to me, a little like coconut, which I'm not actually normally a big fan of, but really love in this spray. The price wasn't too high either. It doesn't require a whole lot of spray to do the job (less is more in this case) so I feel like this bottle will last us a pretty long time. It smells OK- not great but not bad either. The problem is the detangling power. If I use it full strength it detangles well enough, but leaves my hair crunchy feeling after it dries. If you dilute it 50/50 with water as another reviewer mentioned it really helps with the texture problem- but then it doesn't detangle very well. Love that it's cruelty free, but I've since moved on to another detangling product. Black Vanilla leave in conditioner by Carol's Daughter (no affiliation) does a better job, contains vitamins to help with hair health, and smells AMAZING. Women stop me all the time to ask what perfume I'm wearing, I tell them it's just my hair products! Read more

I have purchased this shea moisture detangler on several occasions for my little one from amazon and this is nothing close to original.
