I received my makeup train in the mail today . I love it. It's beautiful , just as big as I imagined and the quality is great. I read about the toppling , which I was nervous about , however mine doesn't do that even when nothing is in the bottom. I noticed when I had it on my bed it did once but when I put it on a dresser or a sturdy , well balanced table , it does not topple over. I agree with many reviewers saying the tiers could have been deeper than only one inch ! This case is pure magic. It holds a TON, has great features (mirror, removable brush box, shoulder strap, locks), looks stylish, and is an excellent value for the price. I absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to organize their makeup/beauty products.(FYI - It takes time to figure out the best placement for everything. Also, the large section in the bottom of the case MUST have enough weight/items in it so the case doesn't tip over when the upper trays are fully extended. I was so excited waiting for this to arrive so I could reorganize my chaotic makeup set up I somehow had grown used to.The rose gold color was gorgeous and as expected. Not to mention it came well secured and packaged.I am so happy I found this size versus the mini, which I originally considered. I was almost afraid it would be too large for the closet space I wanted to store it in, but it was a perfect fit.The case itself fits all my makeup essentials. I had it full and opened all the way and there was no problem tipping. I purchased this because I was sick of digging through my makeup bag for my brushes mostly. I thought if I had a box with a tray just for the brushes, I wouldn't have to dig as much, they would all be laid out in front of me. I tried a handful of boxes before finding this one, the only one with a tray big enough for my brushes. The mirror on top refuses to stay up. I have had to use a stick or an old brush to prop the mirror up. The hardware inside is cheep. I feel like my box is already bent on the rails that hold the tiers. The box is heavy, even empty. I took it with me on an airplane recently and tried to check it in my big suitcase.... My suitcase was very overweight. I redistributed everything and it ended up in my carryon, by itself. A lot of wasted space in the suitcases due to the weight of the box.Despite all this, having tried several before finding this one, I still like this box the best. Read more

Not sure about using this for travel? Hmm pretty sure it would come open despite the clasps but I will say I love it. Man I should have bought something like this years ago! How freaking easy is it to get all of my makeup out at one fell swoop versus 6 different containers?I will say you can't fit ever little thing in there and you have to be strategic but mostly everything. This coming from a woman whose husband says " How an one woman have so much make-up?" But WE all know different things for different looks, days etc. You do need to be aware that if you don't place it just right it can be top heavy and potentially tip over but as long as you keep this in mind you will be fine. The case it's cute and is a solid quality case... the minor con for me is the design of the pull-out trays. If they are full ( and mine are) the uneven weight distribution cause the entire case to tip over to one side (see my first picture vs. The second pic where the trays are closed). White is my signature color and I love the way it looks, but for practicality, the case should have had dual-sided trays. My next one will for sure!!! Read more

I definitely give the looks a 5*, but functionally only a 3*... at least currently. I read reviews, so I knew about the toppling effect. What I didn't expect is how difficult it is to pull up the movable compartments & how super dark it is in the bottom of the case. I've put things that I don't use as often down there in the belly of the beast.Also, each one of those moveable shelves aren't very deep. Not much bigger than a larger mascara (in thickness/height). If you know how big "That Gal" by Benefit is, that fits just about perfectly still allowing it took close.What I do LOVE (unexpectedly) is the brush container!! I didn't realize that it can stand up IN the case! I put my big brushes in there, and my thinner ones with my eyeliners in the top shelf under the mirror.If I change my mind and suddenly love this thing, I'll update my rating :) Read more

This freakishly fit everything I hold dear makeup wise perfectly. I feel like the picture is going to do more than my words. Bigger than I expected, but doesn't hold as much as I would like! The fold out sections are quite shallow and just about take standard sized nail polish bottles. The hinged mirror doesn't stand up unsupported, so is not very functional.On the positive, it is attractive to look at and not as heavy as the metal cased cases I have had in the past. The clasps are nice and tight to keep the case securely closed, and the handle is comfortable to hold.Probably a little expensive for what it is, but overall I am happy with it. Read more

This is a substantial cases that looks really nice. There are a number of interior compartments but still room to put a brush pot with the brushes upright inside. The diamond effect on the outside is much nicer than the other cases that I have seen. Read more
