I lost my previous comb and the only one at home was a cheap free comb from a school photo shoot that dug into my skin. These combs are great. The tines are all the same medium thickness ( the classsic comb has thin tones on one side and thick ones on the other side) and are slightly heavier than my previous comb, but is sturdy. The tunes do not dig into my skin. Since I just keep my combs in the bathroom most of the time, one should last me a long time. These are the old-school combs you've been looking for! Often sold as 'styling' combs along with shears or clippers, they are pocket-sized, smooth, durable and lightweight. They say 'Unbreakable' on them; I've never deliberately tried to break one, but I've also never had one break accidentally - not even one tooth. Be aware that these 5-1/4 inch long combs are all "Fine-Tooth" - they have lots of narrow, closely-spaced teeth and do a great job on short hair, but may not be the best choice for people with long, thick, curly or tangled hair. I began my search for a better men's comb after repurchasing the Ace brand combs I had been using for years and found they are now so cheaply made that they scratched my scalp and I was constantly breaking them in my back pocket with my wallet. These Clippermate combs are very close in quality to the older combs from the "Other" company. I've been using the first of a 10 pack I received about a month ago and have had no issues at all. They are well made, flexible enough to not break in my back pocket and my only complaint is that they need to be about 1/2" to 3/4" shorter to avoid sticking out of my pocket too much and possibly catching on whatever I might be sitting on. The plastic is a little stiff and scratchy but not too much so, but they are hard enough that I think the teeth would eventually start breaking in my back pocket - I still carry the same hard rubber comb I've had for twenty years so I don't know for sure. These not as good as the old time hard rubber combs, but since I can't find any of those these are my spares, hoping I never need them. 4 stars because they are better than others I've bought and tried and only a little over a buck a piece. I usually don't trust 5-star reviews. However, I bought a pack of these combs and they are just like the original ACE combs. I can't rate durability as I've only used one of them and have been using it daily for around 6 months. They don't stick my scalp like other combs do. Read more

I always carry a pocket comb in the hip pocket of my jeans. Prior to using this product many of the ones I purchased were easily broken. My only complaint is the teeth could be a little more polished on the edge making a smoother point. Read more

Every bit as good as the other reviews indicated. These combs are strong, flexible, and with consistently rounded ends that mean you never get scratched by your comb.
