The product that arrived was different than what I ordered (see white-and-green stool in attached picture vs. yellow-and-green stool.) The shape looks also slightly different. The one I ordered had four little legs while the one that arrived has no legs but fully lays on floor, which ultimately gives it more stability, something desirable after all, especially if your child is going to stand on it. At least they did respect the fact that I had ordered one with Elmo and that's what I received. And my daughter is very happy with it.As stated in other reviews, some measures were missing. It turned out to be shorter than what I thought it would be. But my daughter is very tall and she doesn't mind not having her feet fully flat on it while sitting at the toilet. But if your child is still unsure or still does not quite trust sitting on a toilet, this may be an issue for you and a delay in potty training.By the way, this is the only reason why I bought this stool as we already have other ones she's been using to reach the sink, but which were too tall and unfitting for potty training. What I'm trying to say is that the slight curvature of this stool makes it ideal for potty training as it sits much better around a toilet than a straight stool. The curvature is what I was looking for when I selected this product. It wraps well enough around our toilet and it is doing what I intended it for.In summary, it seems sturdy enough for a child to stand on it, something my daughter does to reach the toilet, it doesn't slip, seems durable, and it is attractive for a child who likes Elmo. If your child is not tall enough or does not have long-enough legs, you may want to look elsewhere. Read more
My 2 year old uses so that he can reach the bathroom sink after potty time. Fun fact, it is nice and lightweight so he can easily lift it to move it and help himself to reaching the light switches and other items that would tyoically be out of his reach haha. He loves the pictures on it and is so proud of himself for being able to step up on it and reach whatever he needs/wants to get . Read more

I bought this for my 2 year old as she was toliet training to help her get on the potty and to reach the sink as she was washing her hands. It is not even high enough to reach the sink (not its fault--but it is a very low stool), so it is pretty useless for that purpose. Even at our lower sink, she still cannot use it for that. For the toliet, we have a tile floor, and the bottom of the stool is plastic with no rubber covering so the stool slides everywhere, so she cannot actually use it to climb on to the toliet. It slides everywhere and she has fallen.I gave it two stars because it is a cute stool and if you are using it for another purpurse, such as maybe a playroom or something else, it is a cute stool, but most moms I know buy these kind of things for potty training. It it NOT for that purpose. Try something with a rubberized bottom or something multilevel or higher. Read more
I ordered the Sesame Street stepstool pictured above, but that's not what I received. Instead of the green stepstool with all of the Sesame Street characters that is pictured, I receieved a white stepstool with Elmo only. Just before writing this review, I searched the Amazon site for "Elmo stepstool" and still couldn't find anything like what I actually received, so I have no idea where Amazon even got this thing.Beyond the design mistake, the photo is also misleading in its representation of the stool's dimensions. I read the dimensions in the product description and, then studying the photo, believed that it was tall and wide from left to right, but narrow from front to back. This is not the case. The height is the shortest of the dimensions at just over 5", so it does absolutely nothing to aid my daughter in reaching the toilet or any faucets in the house.This is the worst purchase I've ever made from Amazon, and I would not have made it if the product information was more accurate. it's ok, but the top is hard to clean easily and gets dirt trapped and discolored on the top of it. Not to mention how frustrating that is when you have a boy trying to stand up and missing the toilette and peeing on a surface that is hard to clean- pee collects in-between the little rubbery anti-slip knobby thingies..yuck! It's very sturdy and non-slip, but it's too short for my 3 year old to reach the sink or toilet. It is also very tiny and so it's hard for her to turn around if she's standing on it because there is not a lot of room to step. It is a pain in the butt to move unless you bend over and pick it up (sometimes I would like to be able to just move it out of the way with my foot and this is impossible.) Read more
