These syringes were purchased for long term injections of B12 for my older cat who is having liver trouble. These syringes have worked great for subcutaneous injection of B12. Standard sized 20 gauge needles fit fine on the end of these syringes for weekly injections. I should give this 5 stars, but I'm not because the syringes I received are LUER-LOCK!Anyone with any knowledge of syringes knows that you can't use a luer-lock syringe the same way as a luer-slip. The syringe I need is for oral medication administration for my pet; the ones I received are for attaching a needle to. Useless-and I can't return them.If you look at all the pictures they have listed, they use images for both types.Oh well. Tired of crappy syringes given to you by your vet?? Buy these instead and make your pet's medication time easier. The tip at the end makes it so much easier for your pet to take their liquid medications. U just need to sneak it into the side of their mouth....as opposed to jamming the whole end of the syringe in there. It goes right in between their teeth so no more forcing their mouth open. My dog only takes 1 mil of meds per day but I still use 3 mil syringe as its quicker to dose him and using a 1 mil the plunger is pulled all the way back risking falling out the end n losing all meds in process. This is a horrible product! I have a cat I give medications to frequently and thought these would work. Wrong. They stick constantly with the medicine staying in the syringe unless I push extremely hard. Then the medicine squirts suddenly and violently, nearly choking my cat a couple of times. I know these are cheap, but they are not worth it. They don't hold up for any repetitive use and don't even work well the first go round. I just ordered some amber ones at about a dollar a syringe made by another company. A lot more money, but hey, they work like a charm, smooth and gentle. I use these syringes when I measure liquid dye stock into my pans. I need to be careful about amounts if I want predictable results and the numbers are easy to read, large and work well with a variety of colors. I love the packaging that is easy to open, but will not be contaminated by other colors in the room that may poof. I cannot live without them and they are wonderful. Read more
