Been using the red tube Igora for years. Switched to these brown tubes and boy... What a huge difference. Color goes develops fast, completely covers greys, is so vibrant and rich, and matches the colours from the red Igora so no guess work necessary when switching. Much better in my opinion if you have difficult to color greys, which I do now. Also color stays on the grey/white hair better and doesn't fade to a slightly tinted white hair like the red Igora. I have used Schwartzkopf Igora Red 5.1 with 9%/30 developer for the last few years but I've found it harder to cover greys even though I left it on for 45 minutes to an hour. I used 50/50 color/developer. I read about the new 10 and bought it taking the advice of the reviewers. First, I bought a "blonde" shade 7.12 even though I have medium ash brown hair with lighter highlights. This was the correct color. Since it works so fast and putting it on your roots takes a while, you may need to work faster to get even coverage. But I found 10 minutes was right. Another minute might have been okay, but it goes dark fast. I followed one reviewer and used an approximately 60% color blend with 40% 9/30 developer. I will see how long it holds but for now, I am impressed. Previously, I got reactions on my scalp from leaving the original mixture on for an hour. This, though stronger doesn't stay on so long so I believe is less irritating. This product is an improvement for sure. These colors are really good and avoid brassiness. Read more

This is a fast acting hair color. If you keep it on longer than eight minutes, every minute longer that you keep it on it’ll turn darker and darker. So put it on and take it off before the 10 minute mark. Buy their same brand of peroxide, it’s made to work with this product. Don’t use anything else to mix with it. This is not that hair color that you leave on for 40 minutes. Who has time for that today. If you time it right color is amazing and natural and lasts a long time. If you time it wrong you’ll have a darker shade of what you bought. Good luck! Read more

I get my roots colored with each cut. I have for years. As I do not like the skin irritating effect caused by the dyes and peroxide being on my scalp for 35 minutes, this seemed like an ideal solution. It would be if it worked. It just does NOT completely cover my grey roots anywhere near as effectively as the traditional Schwarzkopf Igora Royal has been covering them for years. (At least not after the directed ten minutes of waiting.) I now have a distinct light brown line where my roots were insufficiently colored by the same Schwarzkopf color numbers as I used before. Very disappointing! If it fades, I will think even less of the product. Does anyone have experience with leaving Igora Color 10 on for more than ten minutes? If not, well.. I guess it's natures way of telling me that it's time to give in and go grey. Read more

I would not be able to touch up my roots as often as I need to if it were not for this product because it is hard to find time to let color sit on your hair for 25-30 minutes. This product works in 10 minutes, and you do not want to leave it on longer than 10 because the color will darken more. It is gentle and leaves hair soft. I am a medium brown and use 7.0 which is medium natural blonde because the colors go on darker than other brands that I have used before. In a US color I would be a level 6 Read more

Darker than a "light natural Brown" should be, so I bought a lighter shade and mixed them. This brand covers gray well and FAST. I love that you get great, lasting color in only 10 minutes! Works out cheaper than the "over the counter" brands because I only mix up what I need for root touch ups. I find that I don't have to refresh the rest of the color with this brand. It doesn't keep bleeding out after the first wash either. 4 out of 5 because it's difficult to judge what the true colors are with this brand. do not believe the positive reviews anymore.I had all blond hair and I got this product along with developers.Unfortunately I see all dark to medium brown.now I have to go buy other color to fix the mess.I always buy color box from any store which is amazingly nice and exactly what I want.I even dont like salon because they cant give me the results I want to.in the pictures you can see my blond hair before using this product and other dark pictures is the result. This being an ash base has left my hair a level 2 (darkest brown, almost BLACK) with red undertone (Close to a chocolate darkest brown)I understand that having porous hair will cause hair colour to go dark though I do NOT have pours hair! It stays dark for about 10 washes, after 20 or more hair washes it lightens up with more of a Goldie hair colour.Not what I was expecting as I want a level 5 refresh and very ashy. photo posted is over 2.5 months after colouring (I started with a level 5 hair colour, not blonde)If doing a gray root touch up go At least one shade lighter, I had to let my gray come back in for 3 months before a retouch.
