While trying to calm my fussy boy down one evening, we swayed past the mirror and suddenly the golden sound of silence enveloped the room. Too young to be left unsupervised in front of the full length, and unable to sit, I grabbed the extra car mirror out of his closet and set it on the floor the next day. He was amused, but grew bored quickly. This mirror came up first on the search, so I went for it. It's perfect. It does topple over, but that only encourages him to try and pick it back up. He does get aggravated when trying to remove the attached insects, but he has enough toys and hands to stick in his mouth. The material is perfect as it doesn't hurt him when he slams the mirror against his head in an attempt to suck on the ladybug. The 30 minute babble with his reflection is worth a million more purchases. Read more
Great little mirror. Perfect for tummy time. The bumble has crinkly wings. The ladybug makes a rattling sound when you roll the black and white part. It stands well on its own. Please like if this review helped you! Read more
I love this. My daughter is not a fan of "Tummy Time," at all, but this mirror helped her a LOT! As for the parents saying it isn't a true reflection... of course it's not; it is not a REAL mirror, it's BABY SaFe and it is awesome! I submitted a photo of my baby and our reflection so you can see that it is a very good mirror. It does fall down easy when the babies hit it, but it weighs almost nothing and doesn't break. The toys are adorable and they move and are interactive! Love it! Read more
Summary This cheap piece of garbage can impose choke hazard if you did not carefully remove the protective film. Also the “mirror” is so distorted that everything look like nightmare.Pros 1. Nothing. It is not even a mirror.Cons 1. Mirror is so distorted that everything look like nightmare in it 2. The protective film break into pieces because there are many “teeth” being under the frame, and inevitably some of them break into pieces when you remove the film. Be sure to remove them carefully or your baby may eat them. Read more
My daughter is obsessed with this mirror. When she was 2 months old she would do her tummy time and look at her self in it. Now that she is 5 months and more mobile, she will knock it down (because it is very easy to do) and play with the ladybug rolling rattle of chew on the bees crunchy wings while it is laying in her pack and play. It is hardly ever up because it doesn't have much of a base but I would rather have a soft mirror than a sturdy hard one that would hurt her. Because it has fallen on her face while she has been playing with it. The mirror itself is that plastic bendy stuff that is distorted in some places, but it is a very good quality considering it is a child's toy. My daughter can see her reflection well as you can see by the pictures. The frame has foam around the edges and my daughter likes to fall asleep on it playing with the lady bug. I would recommend this product for curious children! Read more
My 6 month old loves the mirror but word of advice for parents of sensitive skinned little one's, the product has some kind of substance on the fabric that can be irritative. My 6 month old has severe eczema and he had a horrible break out immediately when I gave this to him. I had to wash it in the sink with his detergent and let it dry really well before he could play with it. The water appeared dirty after washing it off too (same day as I received it).So, make sure if they have sensitive skin you wash this first by hand. Do not use a washing machine or the mirror will be ruined. The mirror is very clear but it does have a slight distortion. I doubt a baby would notice but as an adult, I can definitely see the distorted focus. It also doesn't stay up very well, but then again a baby will knock it down no matter what - so there's always that.Other than that, he loves the mirror. So I love it too! Read more
In the picture the item looks like it’s wedge shaped so it can stand on its own. The product I received is completely flat and has to be leaned into something for it to stand in its own. The whole reason I bought this was for it to sit on the floor next to my son. He loves looking at it but it’s cheap feeling and the fact that it doesn’t stand on its own means that it has fell on my sons face because of this several times. The mirror itself isn’t actually a real mirror but cheap plastic reflective material and has a bluriness to it. To be clear- I wouldn’t necessarily want a real mirror for my son to play with Bc of the potential of it breaking and that it would be heavy if it fell on him, but I just thought this would be more clear in terms of being able to see yourself in it without it being extremely distorted.Update- after messing with this trying to make it stand up I noticed that there is a very small piece of Velcro in the bottom that was stuck together that kept me from seeing that the back and bottom pull out to create the wedge, however the mirror still does not stand on its own. There’s no structural support when the wedge is opened. It’s very flimsy and is knocked over very easily. Also the package it came in had. I instructions and was a very small piece of cardboard backing that the mirror just sat inside of a small 1” high bottom holder and the mirror was already popped out of I when I received I. Bottom line is I would not recommend this product. Read more
Good size, easy to fold up and store, and light weight if it falls over towards baby. Baby also loves when I spin the ball on it and crinkle the bee wings, but I'm pretty sure he'll knock it over when he's old enough to do it himself since it's so light. The actual mirror is not like a crazy funhouse mirror unless you move further away from it. Close up like baby will be it has a good image.UPDATE: It’s now 8 months later and even still at a year old, he frequently plays with this mirror. He loves kissing and giggling at his reflection and playing peek-a-boo behind it. Trying to touch the “other baby” in the mirror too. He still enjoys the spinning ball as well. Plus, it’s still in good shape. Great toy for an affordable price! Read more
This is super cute! However, it is not sturdy enough to stay standing up, the edges are foam, not heavy enough to stand up. Also the protective plastic that was on the mirror part I took off when I got it and the plastic was all stuck in the edges, as shown in photo and it would not come out. I used tweezers to pull it out and the mirror is now scratched around the edges because of that. But otherwise I would not have been able to give it to my baby with the plastic around the edges. Would not repurchase as cute as it is. Read more
Overall I like this mirror. My little one likes to pull it over and because it's soft all around I dont have to worry about her getting hurt. A few dislikes, it doesn't stand up well if it's on a blanket or towel or even her play mat. It has to really be on the hardwood floor or carpet. My main issue is that it scratches really easily. My likes...it's affordable and gets the job done. The mirror you can actually see a clean reflection in unlike other baby mirrors. Would I buy it again? Maybe. Read more
Quality is good and baby enjoys it. However, the design needs improvement. Because the base is collapsible the mirror falls over the moment baby touches it. A more rigid design would have been much better. Read more
This mirror helped so much with tummy time! Provided a distraction for my daughter & she loves looking at herself. The mirror is plastic so it’s slightly distorted image. Tips over fairly easy, but it’s lightweight so your baby doesn’t get hurt it if tips towards them Read more
My baby loves this during tummy time and it is super cute. It’s light and he likes the bugs and leaves. My only critique is that the base is a bit narrow so when he reaches out it tends to fall over easily. Read more
