I have too many double edge safety razors - I love trying new ones out. The look and shape of this one intrigued me to test it out. First, the box it came in wasn't gift worthy, if that's important to you (it isn't to me). I was surprised the razor came with Dorco blades - a lot of razors these days come with cheaper no name blades. The color is really nice looking, shinny black - this razor looks great. In hand, I think it may be one of the best. The handle doesn't slip at all, even when wet. My fingers fit perfectly in the groves too - very impressive. For the shave, I shaved in the shower and it wasn't under ideal conditions as the water was too cold (just got done working out). The shave felt VERY close - I mean close enough that I'd be careful if your new to wet shaving and double edged razors. It may have been the colder water - not 100% sure, but I did get a really close shave. I'll be curious to see how it shaves with my go-to razors-Derby's. Overall, I am happy with it and it will find a place in my daily rotation. Read more
If you are looking for an aggressive heavy hitter, this is the one!Until I purchased this, my heavy hitter favorite was my Muhle R41. In my opinion, this delivers a more aggressive shave while having a smother razor to skin contact due to the superior metals used in the razor.The audible feedback is incredible, and cuts right through my beard after 10 days of not shaving. Closest to using a streight razor I have experienced.I do have to say you need to respect this razor's capability and take your time or you will end up with cuts.The razor is a classic short handle three piece design with a heavy weight behind it.
