I was soooo afraid when I saw the negative reviews about reactions to the powder....I have somewhat sensitive skin. I decided to give it a chance anyway because of all the GOOD reviews and all the "youtubers" who seem to swear by it. I've used it only once so far (Saturday night, it's now been 3 days that I've been makeup free) so far, no type of reaction. It's not over bright like a lot of setting powders and doesn't leave me looking ashy.Update :After about about a week if use, I did notice a slight irritation, small itchy bumps and more breakouts. I was worried that was caused by the powder so I have stopped using it for now. Once my skin kind of gets back to normal, I will try it again. Then I'll know whether my skin was acting up or if I might Be experiencing a bad reaction to this product. I've taken my rating down from a 5 star to 3 star in the meantime.2nd update 5/01/2018:I started using the powder again. I stand by my first assessment. I've been using it now for 2 or 3 weeks and I haven't had any new outbreaks. I love the flawless finish I get. Back up to 5 stars 😀Final update 9/16/2018I've used this powder every weekday since my last update in may and I've experienced no issues. At all. Extremely satisfied. Read more

I've gone through NUMEROUS setting powders that claim to be "translucent" and they NEVER are. I would always get that flash-back or reverse raccoon eye in photos, or they would just make me look ashy.. and as we know that is never a good look. I decided to purchase this powder after seeing so many of the makeup artists I follow on Instagram use this powder. I have been using it for a little over a month now and I LOVE IT. I will never use anything else! The price is amazing (in comparison to the prices for brands in Sephora) and so is the amount you receive in the jar. Unlike other reviews I have read, I have had no issues with breakouts or irritation and I have VERY sensitive skin. Always be sure to do a test patch before you add new products into your makeup regimen. I would recommend this setting powder to ALL of my "Melinated" <-- (yes I made that word up LOL) sistahs out there! :) Read more

After using it for a few days, I developed very bad bumps and rashes on my face! My cheeks look exactly like the photos other reviewers posted about their bad reactions to the powder. This has never happened to me before to any cosmetic product. The first few times I used it, there was no rash, but I noticed my face was itchy and irritated. Then after using powder a few more times, the rash became huge angry itchy red welts on my cheeks, so bad that I had to see a dermatologist! Just beware of possible allergens when using this powder. Also, my medium Asian skin was too light for the dark buttercup (for medium to dark complexion). This shade might be better suited for darker skin, and I applied it lightly or else it would look too yellow. I liked the matted finish, goes on smoothly, and looks great in photos before I broke out. Read more

I've used it twice since it arrived. The first time I tried to talk myself out of thinking it broke me out everywhere I applied it, but after the second use I knew that it was the cause of the red bumps under my eyes, forehead, and chin. It's so pretty, but the aftermath isn't worth it. I'm still nursing my skin and hoping that all these bumps go away. Read more

This product is nice, however use with Caution!!! These reviews aren't here for nothing. The first use was amazing, but when I washed it off, my face was broke out. That night to be exact. My face was itching and burning. I could just have sensitive skin. You just need to be careful. The moment you feel itching and burning take it off so it doesn't get worse. Read more

It looked great the first time I used it. After a week straight my skin started to break out in little bumps all over my face. Read more

This packaging does not seem new. It looks really scuffed up. And like it's been open before. There's plastic sticker on the inside... but the cap had powder on it already. And there's marks all along the bottom and a few on the sides. Scuffs that wouldn't come from the packaging or from shipping more like it's been handled before.I don't know. I'm suspect because I'd rather not play around with my face because some company seller decides to be greedy or cut the product with something to cut costs. Could explain why some women complained of break outs or burns on their face. You only have one face ... be careful ladies.I should add this is not my first time using Sasha cosmetics. I've ordered a few times the same powder from the actually website and the makeup didn't come to me in this condition thus the reason I'm suspicious.I'm going to contact the seller and see what's up with this. And See if they respond or what they say. What ever they say I'll copy and paste here....I like to be aligned with truth for the greater good of everyone. So I don't mind sharing what happens.I've included pictures... to show the weird condition of the container. The dirt on the bottom of it on the sticker that reads "newitem" that is on top of the normal sticker.. the marks on the side. And the inside of the lip that already has product on it somehow.I'm irritated as well a bit. I needed this quick bc I work in front of the camera as a living. And I need a beat face for the interviews around my city. Read more

This is the second time I’m purchasing this and it doesn’t look the same. I’m not sure if it’s the real one or not...it didn’t come in a box like the first one and the colour is slightly different. Read more

I've got medium to dark skin with yellow undertones and this powder is my holy grail. I've tried every kind of high-end "translucent" powders and I just looked grey and ashy, and let's not even get into using flash. But when I bought this, my life changed, I swear! It's even better than Ben Nye powder and I used to love that stuff but the buttercup powder is insane.I use it to bake my undereye area, set my foundation by dusting it over my face but my favourite method is pushing it into my skin with a beauty blender. Your makeup will not budge and you remain a golden goddess.Cannot speak highly enough of this product. Read more

Okay, so I live for these makeup reviews!! So I'm gonna keep it real with you~!For shade reference, I currently wear the Fenty Beauty concealer in 255 and like 2 years ago I went to Mac to get my shade range and they told me I was an NC 40, so there's that. After reading reviews and watching video's online I feel like if you're around my shade get the lighter version of this rather than the original. This in itself is REALLY yellow so I was afraid it would have made my face so yellow (but that was not the case at all)! I previously had the Makeup Forever HD Setting Powder and it SUCKS! Personally, it was so thin, left a REALLY bad white cast, and I feel like it even took the effects of the concealer away (like made my red spots more apparent after I set it).PRO's:-Doesn't leave a white cast!!! :)-Has a really smooth finish-Gives a really set finish whether you leave it on for 1 or 2 mins or you bake with it for like 10 mins.-I feel like it compliments my concealer and doesn't make it extra light (unlike the Makeup Forever)-I'm glad I purchased the lighter one as the yellow one would have been way too dark.-It IS $24.99 but they give you A LOT (1.25 oz), I won't have to repurchase for like months down the line.Con's:-Can be very messy. (If you see my pictures) I just opened it for a quick second to take a picture of the inside and little powder specs already got on the table. *Honestly, most loose setting powders are like this so you can't really help it. Definitely surprised! Really good for going out AND everyday look and I have lupus so let me tell you it works wonders in keeping my make-up in place. Really don't know what to say, it's worth it though and it never goes to waste as it comes with a thin plastic cap inside with holes so you can tap some into the lid and use instead of dipping into the main pot so it will definitely last long unless you rip out the plastic cap and pour it all over the place!!It's worth the money not as small as some people made it out to be in the comments, trust new definitely worth it for the money!I would say before amazon try to put it in the elite group for make-ups and raise the price for people to really complain...am buying another two. Should take me almost a year to get through believe me it's difficult to waste! Even....infact on your worst make-up days you can't waste it....and lady we have them! Read more

I've ordered this product three times already and have just placed my fourth order. This product sets concealers perfectly. I use MAC or Bobbi Brown concealer as well as a corrector and this powder sets without creating lines like many other setting powders I've tried in the past. This product goes a long way considering I use it everyday. It also lasts all day so no need for touch ups and is great for my t zone areas as my skin can sometimes get oily.To combat the powder look I always spritz a little MAC set spray which helps to set the powder and not give an ashy look in pics.Pics look fab with this product and my face looks all one tone regardless of whether I use a little for a natural look or a lot for a Photoshop look.I can't recommend this product any higher! Also if you have dark circles under your eyes like me, and therefore tend to use a lot of concealer this product is fab for setting and avoiding creasing under your eyes.I hope this helps!
