I like how nice these look. I have several pairs from this brand and I think this is the most comfortable style. They work well for me. Read more

It says in the description:"REPLACES 2 PADS OR 3 TAMPONS --Wear all day or all night as everyday protection. This regular absorbency period underwear works best for regular to heavy period-flow, light bladder leaks, or as a worry-free backup to a tampon, cup, or disc."I will admit that on my heaviest day, I can go through an OB ultra tampon in only a few hours. But I had to test this out on my heaviest day to see what it could handle and I was disappointed. I put the underwear on around 9 in the morning and by 1 in the afternoon, I was experiencing what appeared to be bleed-through. This didn't seem possible to me as I expected the bottom layer to be waterproof, but when pressed a tissue to the stained areas, it was indeed blood... So when they say 2 pads or 3 tampons, I'm assuming they mean maybe 3 regular tampons and 2 light-day pads.Because the lining of the absorbent layer is black, it's really hard to tell what's going on. With a pad, you can see pretty quickly how much time you have left with it. But with black underwear, who knows? This is a big disadvantage in terms of ease of use. I understand they did this because it looks better and you have fewer issues with staining over time. However, it's not really practical and I'm not sure what the best answer is. I guess I'd have to start to pay more attention to the weight of the underwear vs what it looks like. (It also occurs to me as I write this that this is probably something vision-impaired women have already figured out and I'm just overly dependent on my eyes. But what you get used is what you get used to.)After washing the underwear and air drying it, I tried it again as a liner/backup with my period cup and that was fine as you'd expect. So I think for me, I'd use this with tampons or cups and maybe on light days, but I would not rely on this as a sole period product on anything heavier than a light day. From an appearance and comfort perspective, I do like these panties. They are reasonably cute and I do like the brown color as it's a nice dark color to help protect against long-term staining, but it's not black and it's not white, which seems like a bad idea for a product like this. I found it comfortable to wear all day and I didn't find the lining section to rub or annoy me in any way. It was much more comfortable than wearing a thick pad.If you have any heavy days at all that call for more than one tampon during the work day, I wouldn't count on these as your only option but I think they're very good as a second shield for tampons and cups and I think they can be great for light days or any other day you just want to cover your bases a little bit more. So for those purposes, I do recommend these and I am glad they exist. Read more
we received the Saalt Reusable Period Underwear - Comfortable, Thin, and Keeps You Dry All Day or Night from All Leaks (Mesh Hipster Medium, Rich Earth) ( Medium , Rich Earth) in exchange for this review. My daughter prefers period panties or reusable pads over single-0use items. As such we decided to try this brand pf period panties. She is rather disappointed with these.1: They claim 2 pads worth of absorbency...that would suggest you can get at least a full work day's use before replacing the panties with fresh ones. She tried these for the first time when about to head out for a 6 hour work shift, on a medium flow day. (Day 3 of her usual 5 day period) When using ANY other brand of panty or her usual favorite reusable "maxi-pad", this would be no question...it would last. Instead, she needed to call ME to bring her a reusable pad (To put on over the panty) within 4 hours of her leaving home. So it seems the 2 "pads" would be 2 LINERS? She has since used them on her last day and was able to do a full shift, but brought a pad for backup just in case.2: The mesh sides are CUTE...but rather flimsy. She has worn these 4 times, and she is already seeing a couple small holes forming along seam lines with the mesh. If they could fix the absorbency issues, or at least SAY they are for light flow or it is a 1-pad capacity, these would be rated better by us since she has said they are really comfortable to wear and DO feel dry when in use. Breathable material and comfortable!I normally wear size small underwear but for period underwear, I go up a size.I got a size medium and not too tight or too lose and I can comfortably wear all day.I’m not saying sizing up is better, it’s just my preference as I always feel period underwear is made a bit tighter and I don’t like feeling pressure around my belly. This “hipster” is not too low rise or too high waist either and I really like it.I can wear it all day without feeling tight around my waist or feeling itchy.Material is so soft and doesn’t irritate my skin. For me, first 1-2 days is heavy flow and I still don’t feel “safe” just wearing period underwear, so I wear it as backup but after 2 days, my flow would be light to moderate and I feel safe just to wear period underwear.Super absorbent, easy to wash and dry super fast!I need to purchase more! I ordered an XL yet I received an XXL. I guess one size up won’t kill me – but I would have appreciated the XL size more. I thought it might not matter but I feel these ae “swimming” on me a bit – they feel big – like I have to hike them up higher…I tested them out on a snowy day where I was at home. I watched some TV and fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up and visited the bathroom – I noticed that the underside of the crotch had wet marks at the edges. At first, I thought I might have gotten all sweaty curled up on the couch – but nope – they had leaked right trough towards the crotch’s’ edges. I had not even worn them for 5 hours. That means I could NOT even wear these to bed – and I definitely could not wear them out as they just would not last.I have to compare these to the brand I do use for my period – and those panties NEVER leak – even one time I was so tired I slept for 9 hours – and then forgot to change them for another three. TWELVE hours and that brand was still going strong! These – not even close. : (The material feels nice and a lot of it is pretty sheer. They wash beautifully and dry much quicker than my go to pairs – but again – those WORK…So to me, these are a total fail – first time and leaked through… : (If you found my review helpful, why not click the “helpful” button.
