This does not help me straighten my hair, and it makes my hair stiff to boot. I tried multiple times, and even added some other straightening products to see if it could help the Rusk along, but unfortunately found my hair still stiff and not any straighter than if I hadn't used it at all. This product does EXACTLY what it says it does! No frizz and my hair (which is very wavy, especially in the humidity) stayed straight after my blow-dry and flat ironing. A little touch up with the flat iron the next day and still straight! okay so i originally got this from a friend as a gift but i ran out so i purchased it on amazon and its the BEST. it smells amazing, prevents puffy hair (even in 94 degree humid summer weather), and its just so easy and yet doesn't make your hair hard or stick together like moose or hairspray. how i apply it is by washing my hair without conditioner (makes my hair fall out), then applying it to wet-damp (more on the wet side) hair. i put it in a twisted hairstyle overnight then curl my hair with my fingers in the morning and the curls always stay, as if ive curled my hair. this cream is completely non toxic to my hair and didnt harm it in any way. I was excited to try this product, but unfortunately, this product doesn't really do what it says it will do. It does not help eliminate frizz and it most definitely does not straighten your hair. I do have curly hair, but using this product only results into wavy hair, not straight hair. I would not recommend this product and am on the fence if I should buy this product again. I was purchasing another Rusk product for shine, when I noticed the reviews from curly haired gals who were using this lotion to tame their curls. Cannot comment on humid weather yet as it's still winter here, but man oh man, my curls are so nice and soft now. No crunchiness or ends breaking off due to winter dryness. My hair is soft and falling nicely. Looks like Deva products no longer work for my natural silver grey curls, 3b/c type hair. Was spending $$$$ on conditioners and masks with no improvement. It does not get rid of frizz!! My hair doesn't set that well after I use this product either. I have medium thickness and wavy hair. Usually when I shower my hair can air dry into nice waves. I tried this on and brushed my hair and it looked frizzy and the waves were so ugly. Even when I applied it and later straightened my hair, the frizz was still there. Does not work for my hair type.
