Clotrimazole cream was suggested by my dermatologist to help treat a stubborn (one year and counting) case of jock itch. It provided some relief, but did not eliminate the rash. I finally got rid of the rash with a combination treatment: washing the area daily with salicylic acid shampoo, twice-daily applications of Lotrimin Ultra, and an application of miconazole powder after the Lotrimin had dried.
