I love these Rubbermaid containers so I ordered two sets and got two different sets both with the same item number. One set had two-7 cup containers and one had only one 7 cup container and an addtional 5 cup one. One had regular lids for the whole set and one had 5 cup lids that were vented. I specifically ordered these sets because I DID NOT want the vented lids. On the underside of the vents there is a piece that sticks down into the food. The smaller containers are way too small for anything other than salad dressing or baby food. I wish these sets came with more of the larger sizes and fewer of the smaller ones. Generally, I don't take the time to write product reviews, but I wanted to for these containers. Let me just say Rubbermaid has outdone themselves with these. They stack beautifully and the lids snap together and to the bottom of the containers. They take up less space in the cabinet. Plus, the lids fit tightly. I ordered my first set of Rubbermaid easy find lids while using an Amazon.com gift card.I love rubbermaid as a company and have used thier products for years. Since I have found the new easy find lid product line I have fell in love with them.I used to have all sorts of lids of many shapes and sizes along with containers none of which nested near as well as the new easy find lids do. My old supply of rubbermaid and Tupperware took up nearly 3 cabinets and were a pain to locate matching lids to the containers. When I asked my husband what he thought of getting rid of the mixmatch lids/containers he was totally thrilled. Now that I have gotten my first 40 count set I only use less then 1/2 of one of the shelf cabinets, lids and containers together. And all of the lids fit the same size opening so no searching for just the right size lid for the matching containers. My husband is thrilled not to have to search any longer.I am sold and plan to add another 50 cnt set to my collection. I have even told several friends as well as giving a set as a house warming gift.I would recommend these for sure.I am thrilled to see that this product is also BPS free as well.My only consern would be that if not completely dried the lips of the lids MIGHT get mildowed if nested tightly before water has evaperated between them, but as of yet I have not had such a problem since I air dry my dishes.I don't have a dishwasher so I cannot varify how this products works in a dishwasher.Great product!If you are not sold on it you can purchase a single bowl/lid at Walmart and or Targets,note; that they are a much better price in a set though. These containers are great. My wife and I received this same set as a gift a couple of years ago and finally decided to add more and get rid of the cheap Gladware and Ziploc containers. The ability of snapping the lids together for storage is nice if you can keep your cabinet organized. Otherwise I tend to put the lid on the container, toss it into the cabinet, and wait for the avalanche the next time I open the cabinet. As for usage, these are great, and the cost is relatively low for comparable containers. We've had many other containers (including others made by Rubbermaid) that have shattered if they fall out of the freezer and hit the floor. These on the other hand bounce back like nothing ever happened. We've placed them on the bottom rack of the dishwasher without issues. They have a great seal, and if you pull up on one corner and press on the center of the lid while re-closing the container, you can create a small vacuum inside to keep your food fresher just a little bit longer. The only reason for taking away a star is for their performance in the microwave. Most things usually work well and never have a problem. However, over time or with certain foods (like those with spaghetti sauce), tend to cause the same bubbly melting thing that happens to most containers in the microwave. Given that this occurs despite them being microwave safe, I cannot give it a full 5 stars. Otherwise great product. Read more

I purchased these initially because I wanted something with better lids. This set has that, only three sizes of lids . . . that's it. They are sturdy and heavy duty. No need to replace them every 6 months (only to find the new one has a slightly different lid that doesn't work with the last ones). But then I was happy to see that with the different sizes available I have the perfect set for my make-ahead lunches. Makes portion control easier. On my day off, I make up my meals for the next three days. I don't overeat because I can pack an appropriate serving size. If you're sick of tossing out flimsy, leaky throwaway containers, (I tossed an entire grocery bag of mismatched containers/lids, you will LOVE these. I loved them so much I came back to Amazon and ordered a second set. These will be my new housewarming gifts. I'm sure I'll be buying many more sets. Read more
