I've had the same straightener before and I had it for many years. This one after only a year is already breaking. To the point I can't use it anymore. The cord attached to the straightener is really loose and is losing connection inside so it does not stay hot. And because I bought it off of here Royale will not accept a warranty with this purchase. Super bummed especially since it's such an expensive straightener. Read more
I have been using this hair straighter since 2010. The last one I had stopped working after 5 years and I tried others which did not make my hair feel very good and so I bought another one of these and I am so happy I did. This hair straightener makes your hair shiny and healthy as well as look amazing. So I would and have and will continue to recommend this product. Read more
No stars, this is a knock off of the real Royal hair straightener. The product I was delivered was used, had burn marks on the side. The plastic grabbed and ripped my hair out, and the plates did not hear up. My old Royal heated up immediately at the lowest heat setting. The one delivered to me was turned up all the way and wasn't even hot to touch! Read more

I love this straightener! My hair is pretty damaged (split ends and very crunchy) from being dyed and bleached. I try to straighten it to make the puffy mess of hair look a bit better (I know I should cut it but I'm waiting for it to get a little longer). With my old straightener my hair still looked very damaged and puffy. This straightener actually makes my hair look less damaged! This straightener is perfect. The temperature ranges are excellent for pulling all the curl and frizz out or for just taming them a little. If you know how to use it it is also good for adding wave and curl as well. Read more
This thing isn't great for people with thick hair, and despite what the company says it WILL break. I have had two of these and both have had the heat plates broken. My suggestion would be to invest the money in an actually good product rather than buying another one of these cheap pieces of plastic. Read more
