This is the worst bottle of Romance I have ever used. I've been using Romance for about 2 decades now and know what it should smell like. I bought one from a non-Ralph Lauren company from Amazon before and it was perfect. This one, however, though it is in the Ralph Lauren packaging, smells NOTHING like Romance. I really need to start trusting all the bad reviews and remembering 95% of the good reviews have been paid for by a company to leave good remarks. My package arrived safe and in a Ralph Lauren Romance box. I strayed it and realized it had been watered down. It smells somewhat like it should but it sprays on like it’s watered down and the scent doesn’t last at all. Take your hard earned money an extra $30-$40 and buy from a named brand department store or from the Ralph Lauren website. I just took a hopefully chance from buying from here because money is tight but this is what I wanted for my birthday because I was almost out of the perfume. Huge disappointment!! I purchased this for my wife for Mother's Day 2014, it's her favorite perfume and she's worn it for years. After a couple of months, she got around to opening it as her prior bottle was running out and she brought it to me and asked me to compare the smell between the old bottle (purchased from Macy's) and the new bottle (from Amazon). They did NOT smell the same to me and I don't even have a particularly discerning nose. The bottle from Amazon seemed more pungent, and harsh whereas the bottle from Macy's was... I don't know how to describe it... Smoother... maybe? Soft smelling... whatever that means! haha... Anyway...I then checked the reviews on Amazon and saw that this had been a problem in the past for others. I also noticed it wasn't so much a problem more recently - which is why I thought it important to put this info out there. It's STILL a problem.On the positive side, Amazon customer service was GREAT and despite the fact that I had purchased this bottle several months prior, they refunded my money (thanks to the reviews of this being a problem in the past - so thank you all!).I hope this helps! It comes in regular store packaging, which I only mention because this form is asking me about it being giftable and the presentation. In any event this is a nice light scent. The bottle is full and packaging is perfect however, there is no scent at all when sprayed!I’ve only just opened the perfume as I finished my previous bottle yesterday.
