The first application immediately soothed my dry scratchy eyes. I also have Sjogrens Syndrome like another reviewer which prompted me to buy this product from the review. Anyone with this syndrome knows how blurry and irritated their eyes can become. I am amazed! Read more

This is great stuff. I have a significant dry eye syndrome issue, and normal drops, even the regular Rohto, just doesn't last very long. The Dry Aid is amazing -- I've gone from 10-12 applications a day to keep my eyes lubricated to 3-3 applications. Even at it's premium price, this product is well worth it for dry eye sufferers. Highly recommend! Read more

I have severe dry eye and nothing has really seemed to help until Rohto. It isn’t oily but has a very good coating ability that lasts for up to 10-12 hrs. It seems to be a reasonable price for the benefits Read more

I've tried several brands of drops for dry eye from CVS, Walgreen's etc, that were somewhat effective, but I usually required more drops about every hour or so. I saw this advertised on TV, and gave it a try. No doubt, Rohto is just different, and for me, lasts pretty much all day with one application in the morning. It only appears to be more expensive than most others, but for my usage, I'm sure it is less expensive, per application, since I don't have to add more drops several times a day. Bottom line: Great Stuff (at least for me). Read more

I have suffered with dry eye for years. When the harsh gritty feeling starts I look like I have pink-eye but I was rest assured by my eye doctor, I did not.I'm always on the look out for a decent dry eye drop. My work is being on the PC for at least 8-10 hours a day.I saw ROHTO on youtube actually then read the reviews here on Amazon. I have to admit I was hesitant because of the cooling effect, I didn't want an irritant on already irritated eyes.As you can see from my before picture, my left eye was pretty red, scratchy, gritty, felt like I had shards of glass in it.The first time I used ROHTO with the purple cap it did sting. I know now it was because at that time the eye was really irritated. The cooling effect felt good though.I have not had anything like the irritated eye shown since I've started ROHTO dry aid. And now when I use it daily, it doesn't sting because the eye is no longer irritated, just feels cool for about 10 seconds. Read more

I normally buy Refresh Tears because my eyes respond well to the carboxymethylcellulose that is the active ingredient in this product. I have tried the other major brands to see if their active ingredient would work as well and found that they didn't. This item, Rohto, has a different active ingredient - povidine - that I had not yet tried. I received my order of Rohto today and have used it twice. I should say I have extreme dry eye issues. Refresh works well, soothing and cooling my eyes when irritated. The Rohto does sooth and cool my eyes, but it also tingled just a bit when first adding a drop to my eyes. Not a bad thing, just different. Not sure why it does that, but in the end, it's just all about how my eyes feel and so far the Rohto is working fine. Not better or even worse than Refresh, but similarly. Systane never has worked well to keep my eyes comfortable, so finding another product that does is a good thing for me. Hopefully it will work well for others too...After alternating between these drops and my Refresh drops, I have to admit that I still prefer Refresh over these. The Rohto drops sting for just a second when I put them in my eyes and they don't seem to give comfortable relief for as long as the Refresh drops give me. Having tried all the dry eye drops and comparing their main ingredients, the ones that work best for me (which may be different for others) have a main, active ingredient of carboxymethylcellulose. Rohto's povidine works, but for my eyes, just not as well. Because our chemical make-up has minute differences (such as being able to tolerate fiery hot foods or lactose intolerance in dairy products to name two), there is a chance povidine would be the best choice for someone else. Best to do your own testing to find out if this one is "the" one for you! Read more
