I've had these toys for about 5 weeks now where my son plays with them in the bath. They've worked great and are definitely a cool toy and look very realistic. However, at about week 5 they stopped working. I discovered that the battery seal had failed on both of them allowing water to get into the battery compartment and therefore causing corrosion.I contacted the seller but here was their response:Dear Customer, You just have reached the max life of the battery probably, unfortunately the toy isn't covered by any type of warranty so, it can't be replaced or repair. Thank you for contacting us.I would rate this higher but for something so simple as a bad battery seal I would expect coverage from the seller. In my eyes it's not a water toy if you're not able to put it in water without water getting into the battery compartment. Brought this for my child it wasn't working so I thought maybe batteries were cheap and dead. Opened the battery compartment and they were corroded so bad that they crumbled and were hard to get out. Couldn't get it clean, trashed the whole thing. Total waste of money, I don't recommend for anyone to purchase this toy since it has apparently been sitting on a shelf for quite a while. Read more

This is so cute! It is far bigger than I thought it was going to be. So, easy on little hands. All you have to do to make him swim is stick him in the water. No buttons to push or twisting anything to wind him up. So easy for little one's to use. We've had this for a few weeks now and it is still working with no issues. Read more

Bought one as my little girl loves fish! She was excited but unfortunately the fish stopped working after 1 day! Bought a second one with the intention to give the new one to her and send the second back. Second one doesn't work after 2 days. For a plastic toy that doesn't do anything (after 2 days) is overpriced. Robo Alive should either make it more robust or lower the price - I've got 2 out of 2 failing with 2 days.
