Balls are seemingly solid and bounce nicely, but began disintegrating after 3 throws in a game of fetch with my small foofy poodle mix - who is not a chewer/does not destroy toys or anything else. I’m guessing the chunks that are missing were ingested which is surely not likely a good thing either.If you need a ball for fetch, I recommend racquet balls. Even after 45 minutes trying to pry one of those from the death grip of bulldog whose owner said eats basketballs and baseballs for breakfast, the racquetball was unscathed except for being covered in a thick layer of slimy saliva! These balls are a little smaller than a baseball, exactly the size I was hoping for.I ordered and received 1 pack of twelve balls in a non-reusable plastic bag.The package included 3 each of 4 pastel color combinations.All balls are intact, none are split or broken as some other reviewers have reported.While these balls do have a decent bounce, they are not quite "super-ball" bouncy.Colorful and easy to grip, these balls should be fun for the grandchildren for a while. Time will tell how the balls hold up under use.A note: These balls do have a bit of a chemical odor when first removed from the plastic bag.
