After having read some of the reviews people have written on Revlon hair color, I decided to purchase two colors. The Revlon #60 & Revlon #535.The reason for using two colors, was to achieve a similar salon look (3D look). Since, CoronoVirus began I avoided going to my hair salon or any hair salon. Although, I have never colored my hair myself, I thought I could be adventurous and try coloring my hair myself.After reading the direction of each box.- I mixed the Cream Colorant (2) with Developer Bottle (1) for each Revlon box.- Once each color was mixed in its corresponding bottle. Using one small plastic disposable bowl, I poured 1/2 of each bottle (1) color #60 and bottle (1) color #535 into the plastic bowl.- I mixed the colors in the plastic bowl. Then using the brush (used for coloring hair) I began to color only the roots of my hair as directed by the Revlon instructions part B (Touch-up Application).- Then waited 25 min.- Then using the brush, I added only the remainder of the bottle (1) #535 to the entire hair making sure the roots and all my head is covered by this bottle #535.- Waited an additional 10 min.- Once time was up, I then followed the Revlon directions which reads; " Once time is up, add a small amount of warm water to your hair and gently massage mixture through, with gloves on"....- I also used the conditioner that was included with the Revlon package as directed.- I purchased the #535 Revlon color from Amazon. And purchased #60 Revlon from Wal-Mart by my house ( at the time Amazon did not have #60 ).-Another benefit of Revlon is there was NO sharp, toxic odor.I believe, that many of the Revlon colors can be mixed to achieve a salon look. As many women know, in salon the hairstylists add two-three colors to achieve the look the clients desire. This also gives a 3D look we look for, which is not achieved by one color alone. Read more

The hair color seems good. No harsh smells and thicker than most. Good coverage. However, I WONT buy these from Amazon again. I ordered 1 light golden brown for me and 2 dark brown for my daughter and EVERY box was smashed and the developer bottle tips were all broken off and missing half the developer because it leaked all over the boxes. This is a great product! I had an illness and lost about 70% of my hair. As my hair was starting to grow back I needed to cover the gray. I wanted a product that was not going to cause any damage. I have issues with my greys around the edges and in the middle, only 39yo. This is the second time to date, August 7th. I’ve used the product and have no complaints. Does not dry my hair out. Covers greys at application and lasts rather long. I last colored my hair June 10th, probably started noticing fine hairs growing up grey around the edges after 2weeks... which is a lot longer than any other product I’ve used. This time I got distracted and kept product on WAY longer (1 hr) than recommended- but didn’t experience any issues or dryness. My mom likes this product as well and she is extremely sensitive and can not use other hair dyes without swelling up. No harsh smells. Conditioner gives hair some slip. Today I used Revlon Total Hair color on my mom's hair. I really liked that this color is very thick - not liquid-like at all. It's as if you're putting a thick moisturizer in your hair. We waited 25 minutes for all-over color. Some stubborn greys persisted, but the majority were perfectly colored. I could've just left the color on her temples longer, but I wanted to see how it'd work in the given time. Mind you, I think having some greys looks far more natural than having none. I've always had my hair coloured professionally but decided I'd try doing it myself. I have psoriasis on my scalp so bought this product hoping it wouldn't irritate my skin. There was almost no scent, and it didn't cause any irritation whatsoever to my scalp. Hadn't had my hair colored in seven and a half months so lots of grey regrowth. My hair is naturally dark brown. I purchased the dark brown colour and I left it on for 30 minutes then used the conditioning gloss. Couldn't be happier with the results .... Gorgeous dark brown color, super soft and shiny hair and no greys!! The instructions suggest putting a little bit of the conditioning gloss around the edge of your hairline on your face so I did this and any colour that I got on my face came off easily and it didn't irritate my skin. Je suis très déçue par ce produit, je m'explique :Je suis par rapport aux photos d'avant sur la deuxième teinte et je souhaitais donc un résultat approximatif à la teinture 63 employée, au rendu qui est vendu sur les photos. Or, grande surprise je me retrouve avec les cheveux plus foncés que ma couleur naturelle.J'ai donc regardé sur le net d'autres couleurs pour rectifier et lus quelques articles par lesquels j'ai appris qu'avec ce type spécifique de teinture on ne peut pas avoir les cheveux qui s'éclaircissent ne serait ce qu'un peu au contraire on devient au mieux un a deux ton/s plus foncés.Le résultat n'est pas moche mais pas ce pourquoi j'ai payé !Pas de mauvaise odeur bien au contraire le produit est agréable, pas de picotements sur tous les autres points super.En revanche, c'est mensonger de vendre une boîte de coloration pour avoir quelques tons plus clairs avec des photos qui sont censés le démontrer sans aucune spécification dans l'annonce que sans utiliser un produit au préalable qui décolore ou attaque les cheveux et bien on n'aura absolument pas ça comme résultat! Vraiment top, je ne supportais plus les couleurs j’ai du arrêter de me teindre les cheveux puis j’ai repris en achetant des teintures coûteuses sous les conseils de ma dermatologue mais je n’étais pas très convaincue.Avec cette teinture Je n’ai eu aucune réaction pendant le temps de pause aucun picotement ce qui ne m’est jamais arrivé et la couleur est parfaite (châtain clair) j’ai des cheveux blancs qui sont parfaitement couverts avec un temps de pause court (oui 20 min c’est très court).Le soin de la couleur est très bien également et l’on peut s’en servir plusieurs fois.Excellent prix sur Amazon je vais en racheter plusieurs. I was looking for hair color that was natural and least amount of chemicals. When I read it was vegan and ammonia free, I thought of giving it a try. I followed the instruction that came along with the package. I am allergic to PPD and my scalp gets really itchy within 24 hours. I should have tested it first.
