I really wanna love black lipstick as an everyday thing, but coverage & longevity is always a problem. The problem with most back lipsticks is that they are chalky looking-- they literally look like you took black clown makeup and put it on your lips. They are costume paint first and a cosmetic second- if that makes sense. This at least tries to be a cosmetic first. It applies softer than other brands, but wears off quickly & you really have to slather it on to get full coverage.Maybe with a good lip primer and liner it will stay better. But this will probably go in the drawer with my other black lipstick disappointments until Halloween. Read more

This lipstick is wonderful! My daughter and I have been wearing this shade for a few years, and even though we have different coloring (I am blond and she is brunette), the color looks great on us both! Review for Desert Escape color. I have very fair, cool-toned (middle-age) skin, and light hair. I was looking for a medium neutral, “my lips but better” color. Desert Escape is a lovely, sophisticated color. It’s a bit much on my very fair skin without any other makeup, but it’s perfect with a polished makeup look. It isn’t too much one color or the other. It is definitely more berry/plum than brown-toned, for certain. It’s both super creamy and intensely pigmented. Zero noticeable smell. I would label it a medium berry-plum. I’m still on the hunt for a perfect MLBB that I can wear extremely casually, like for no makeup around the house etc. (I’m going to try “Blushing Mauve” which is a pearlized color.) But “Desert Escape” color is a keeper- for a more formal look. Read more

I did not even wanted to take a photo with this lipstick. I wanted a black lipstick for a birthday party and of course Halloween but this is so not the one. I literally needed to reapply multiple times and still did not get the black shade. This is not black, it’s too oily that it will not say long. Aww there’s one review stating the same but yeah I wanted to try myself. I agreed this is a waste of money. I am a bit upset, I even added powder foundation to kinda fix it but yeah no worth it. I couldn't believe it when I saw this lipstick has a 2 rating (1 is the best) on Environmental Working Group website. That's still a good rating. And it's great lipstick overall. I had my prejudices about inexpensive, convenience store lipstick - but I tried it and am so glad I did! It's now my favorite lipstick - especially this color. Make me blush must be a new, recent shade as I haven't found it in stores. Saw this on amazon at a good price and so happy i got it. It's a perfect rosy brown, a shade that's hard to find at the drugstore price. It's not too pink or too deep brown and has a hint of warm plum, which is great for someone with tan skin and pigmented lips. This is a definite everyday wearable shade and the quality of the super lustrous lipsticks is so luxe at such a decent price point. Read more
