The Remington CB4N Flexibrush Steam Hot Air Styler is a versatile styling tool that helps you effortlessly achieve high definition curls, bouncy waves and huge volume. It has a ceramic coating to protect your hair and ensure even heat and can be used with or without steam for gentle styling. It was back in 1993 when Remington first introduced the Flexibrush Steam and it quickly became a dressing table staple. And while the looks and styles might have changed since the early 90s, the Flexibrush Steam remains. It was temporarily withdrawn from shelves, but overwhelming public demand encouraged Remington to release it for a new generation and now what was once an old favourite is now a modern classic. Ceramic coated barrel for even heat throughout

I bought one of these when I was in Ireland several years ago and I loved it! I've used it with a plug adaptor here in the USA until it finally wore out from daily use. I 've tried to find another one, but without success until today...I can hardly wait to get my new one! I'm not sure why the only other review says it doesn't work, when I have found that it works better than any curling iron/brush on the market! What I like best is the steam feature, which keeps my baby fine straight hair from being damaged in the curling process! My hair holds a curl with this curling brush, when others have failed and damaged my hair as well. Read more
I've tried using straighteners and curling tongs, but always seemed to burn my fingers, especially when trying to curl the hair at the back of my head. However, because this is a brush, I can touch the prongs without being burnt, which makes it much easier to use.It takes a few minutes to heat up if you want to use the steam feature, but to save waiting I turn it on while I dry my hair. The little water reservoir at the end is simply unscrewed, filled with water and screwed back on and when it's hot enough the end is pushed down to release some steam. You need to be careful if you have the steam styler near bare skin, but it's a relief not to have to worry about burnt fingers any more.I find the technique for using it easier than the technique for using curling tongs, because with the Flexibrush the hair is wound from the ends to the roots (like you would wind on a hair roller), rather than winding the hair around the barrel with your fingers. There is a button for releasing the hair after curling so that the bristles swivel around the barrel, but it's a bit stiff and doesn't really work on my hair as it's so thick and coarse, so I just carefully unwind the flexibrush instead and leave the curl to cool. When I was curling the back of my hair, at approx 1.75cm the cord wasn't long enough for me to be able to see in the mirror, so it could do with being a bit longer.Pros - lightweight, easy to use and less likelihood of burning fingers, barrel size good for shorter length hair, swivel barrel, comes with a second set of different length combs for the barrel for thicker/longer hairCons - takes about 5 minutes to heat up with the steam feature, the hair release button is a bit stiff, and at only approx 1.75cm (69 inches) the cord could do with being longer Read more
Great brush. Was looking for one like my Clairol brush has years ago. Thought had another Remington brush in past so gave it a try. Works really well. Handel shape easier to hold. Release mechanism easy to use. I use to curl under hair at the bottom. It has a steam function but to be honest I haven’t used it yet. I haven’t needed to. It curls my hair under well enough without so I haven’t bothered. I hope they continue to make this as would buy another. Read more
My mum loves using this now to style her hair. She has weak wrists and found this weight ok to use. She hasn't tried the steam function yet. I'm glad I bought this for her, based on the reviews here. Read more
I usually curl my hair with heated rollers and bought this brush for quick tidy ups. I now prefer the results I get just using the brush, much longer lasting and more natural looking.I have only deducted one star because there is no curl release function despite there being a button that doesn't seem to do anything.I've become tangled a couple of times and had to unplug the brush to prevent it burning my hair while I try to disentangle. I now make sure I don't try to wind too much hair at a time and problem avoided. This brush is an excellent buy at a very good price. Read more
I've been using these Remington steam brushes for about 20 years now. They are great on my long, fine hair leaving ringlets, curls or waves that last the whole day. The brushes last for ages, the bristles can be taken out and cleaned and the whole thing is so easy to use. You fill the cap with water and screw into the head of the brush, plug it it, wait for it to heat up and away you go. Read more
