I hadn't had a brow or lash tint in about six months, and when my local brow bar reopened it was only for outdoor waxing services - no tinting! Little did I know how easy it is to do on my own, and now I've a new quarantine cash-saving skill.Make sure to get the RefectoCil Developer and only mix ONE or TWO drops with a pea-sized dollop of RefectoCil color - you'll want the consistency to be a thick paste, and you don't need very much. I ordered blue/black for lashes, and for brows I ordered dark brown and graphite for a more cool brown final result (just the smallest amount of graphite or it will go all the way black REAL quick). I use disposable mascara wands for application, and left on the brows for about 5 minutes and lashes for about 8 - but these are guidelines! Please test before going all in - you can wipe to check the color and reapply if it still doesn't meet your color needs. Sometimes I like to leave on a little longer at the ends of my brows, which are a little finicky re: taking color sometimes. Viola! With how little is actually needed for one tint application, this product will last a REALLY long time resulting in big cost savings and bangin brows even post-quarantine! Read more
This literally ate the skin off of my eye. I could not get it off fast enough. I have no idea what I’m the world I was thinking trying to tint my lashes. This is NOT a safe product for your eyes. I was terrified I was going to go blind. My eye scabbed up and crafts all along my lash line. Will NEVERRRRRR attempt this again or use this product again in my life. Read more
I am blonde. I have always looked washed out if I don’t have mascara on. When I lived in Jersey, I used to go get my eyelashes tinted every 6 weeks. It only cost $10-15 a pop. Once I moved down to NC, it was difficult to find someone who tinted eyelashes, let alone do it well and the cost was DOUBLE what I was used to paying. I figured what the hell, I have had the procedure done enough to know how to do it, so I did a little research and read that I needed a developer. I bought this 3% 10vol. developer along with the Refectocil black dye. I already had a small glass mixing vessel (because I started doing my own gel nails too because of high prices & low quality of work down here at salons) so all I needed was disposable brushes.I put some vasaline under my eye and placed a 3x3 inch piece of Saran Wrap up to my bottom lashes. Mixed the dye & developer and was a bit unsure because it was initially a light grey color. But within a few mins it was black. I liberally applied the mixture to my right eye while keeping it closed. Once that was done, I lifted up the bottom of the Saran Wrap and folded it so both the bottom and top of my lashes were covered and the mixture stayed in place. After 10 mins I took a dry piece of tissue and wiped as much of the used mixture on my eyelashes off onto the Saran Wrap and trashed it all. Next I used a wet pad and cleaned up what was left. I then repeated the process on my left eye.For what I spent on the initial investment, it already paid for itself! I totally recommend this product! Read more
I don’t write many bad reviews, but this item is worthless. I’ve been an esthetician for 25 years and always used the Refectocil liquid. I tried the cream and the coloring doesn’t last one day. Read more
To echo another aesthetician here, I’ve used refectocil for years with great results, till now. This product takes longer to develop on lashes, with less color results and quickly fades. Will never use again. Wondering if it’s a fake?? Read more
I have seen many compare this to regular hydrogen peroxide and it simply isn't the same or interchangeable. I've used 10% developer for hair, liquid lash developer by two other brands, and then this. Though it resists dripping into your eyes because of the cream, if it happens to it is MUCH less irritating than anything else I've tried. I find the Refectocil dyes are superior to other brands as well. This product and the dyes are less expensive and far better/longer lasting than the 5000 hour whatever brand sold here on Amazon. I'm buying more colors. Read more
This would be great for someone with less sensitive skin. This product caused skin irritation stating a day or so after the application. Read more
This mixes perfectly with dye that goes with it (not too runny). This is for dying lashes &/or brows...To dye lashes, I mix Refectocil dye (squeeze the size of a tic-tac) with 15 drops of the creme, then leave alone for 15 minutes before washing thoroughly. Repeat every three or four weeks. This bottle and the tube of dye would probably last many years. Read more
Easy to apply, I left it on for the full 10mins... Read more
