I purchased this set back in February and was thrilled to see I received the genuine brushes. I really enjoyed the look and texture of the brushes and wanted a backup set.This time around, the box was obviously opened and the plastic had been completely ripped off. When I say opened, the top of the box was still open and a majority of the plastic covering was inside the shipping box. There was a small thin piece of the plastic covering hanging from the bottom of the clear box. It was apparent someone took out the original brushes because the ones in this set were not glued on like the February set. The brushes I received are very different in terms of texture, ferrule is a different color as well as the lettering. Some of letters were already worn off.All I can say is I was very disappointed because the shipment was tampered with and I received what appears to be a knock-off. It's shame because these brushes are not expensive yet someone went out of their way to remove the genuine brushes and replace them with a substandard product.The seller assisted me by offering a discount for the tampered brushes or having me return them for a full refund. I chose the discount since I already decided to give them away to someone who is just starting to use make-up. She saw them and thought they would be a great practice set.Perhaps others received the genuine brushes but in my case, I only received disappointment. i was thinking of buying the sigma set but they were so expensive i decided to try these ones as i have seen them recommended by youtubers! i was unhappy with my sephora brand foundation brush which literally cost as much as this whole set. i love all of the brushes in this set, they are better than more expensive brand brushes! the bristles are synthetic but very soft and don't move the skin around when you apply makeup. the multi task is great, so far i've just been using it for blush. i really like the eyeshadow brush, it is great for allover and blending!these brushes arent as amazing as the super duper expensive ones (like nothing will top my marc jacobs buffing brush) but for the price I AM SO IMPRESSED! this is great for the casual makeupper just playing around with blush/contour/highlighting and some fun eyeshadows. i dont wear liquid liner so i cannot really speak for the little brush Read more

I love the Real Techniques brushes. Great quality for the price! I've use this brand myself for over a year and have purchased the set along with a bunch of individual brushes for my sister for Christmas. Everyone I recommend them to loves them. these brushes are so soft and great for detailed makeup application. i use the large pink brush for powder, but it could easily be used for blush, the fluffy purple one is great for eyeshadow, i use the angled pink brush for my contour and bronzer (probably my favourite) though it could also be used for highlight or for setting concealer, and the thin purple brush i use for gel eyeliner or applying a brow pomade. i highly reccomend purchasing these; i've had cheaper brushes over the years and they're alright but real techniques brushes last so long and are great quality! couldn't believe the price when i saw this item tbh Read more
