Within two weeks of purchase and used perhaps twice, the plastic zipper pull broke off. Amazon refused to replace the item and told me to go to the manufacturer (very disappointing). So, I go to the Rachael Ray website, they identify their manufacturer/supplier as Meyer Corp. I mail it to them for almost as much as the bag cost. I got it back today from Meyer disavowing any responsibility for the bag. Just a bad experience all the way around--cheap zipper, Amazon declined to replace it, the Rachael Ray company disavowed the product. Buyer beware. Read more

I just used this insulated bag for the second time and its already damaged. I don't think I overfilled it or was rough with it at all. I just used it to transport a few perishable items on the two hour drive to the mountains. When I arrived at our vacation spot and started to unpack, I noticed the seam had ripped on the outer part of the bag. And, of course, its two weeks after the return window. I'm very disappointed in the product. I was also disappointed when I first received it that what appeared to be a blue/black color scheme was actually an unattractive blue/brown combination. I've had this for a year and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a light-weight tote that can carry a lot of things, along with keeping them warm and cold.I used to keep a hard-cased cooler in my car, but it was clunky at best. Now, in the summertime, I put an ice pack in the bottom and load it up after a grocery store trip. It holds a lot! There's plenty of other users pictures, but I can easily fit a gallon of milk, a few flats of chicken, and all of my fruits and veggies. It does get heavy, but the straps on mine are still holding strong. It's lightweight when it's empty (makes for easy storage) and the straps are long enough that I can put it on my shoulder with it poking into my armpit.I don't use it as often for warm food, and never really carry hot food around, but the few times that I have used it for warm food I didn't have any issues. I would assume that if you put a small, warm item in the bag it wouldn't stay warm for hours due to all of the extra room.I've spilled plenty of things in this bag, and I usually just put in the shower and rinse it clean; good as new! I have to admit, this bag seemed a little more heavy duty in the photos. Nice bag this Rachel Ray thing is, it's just more of a light to medium duty bag. Not a problem I’m not a commercial type user, but it might be a deal breaker for some. The handles look sturdy enough, the interior insulation could get a rip or tear, but the outside material looks decent. A lot of different bags see problems with zippers, so I’m careful with these. No overloading and trying to zip the bag here based on other reviews. There is a nice pocket on the outside for small items. And there is a small loop to hang the bag too.If you look at my photos, you can tell the bag isn’t very wide. If it were a little wider that would make it so much more useful but it is what it is.So for my use, I only worry about the zipper. I live in a small town and once a week we have to drive to get a good price for refrigerated and frozen food items. I have used it twice already and it works great, very happy so far. And while its not heavy duty for someone using it daily, the price was pretty good so I’m happy. Read more

This bag is constructed really well. I've overloaded it a few times and it hasn't ripped, no zipper issues. My only wish is that it was a little bit better insulated. I sometimes buy groceries by work before I go home and my frozen stuff gets home a bit thawed after a 40 minute drive. But that isn't even that bad, most people don't make a 40 minute trip after grocery shopping. I'd buy this again if mine ripped. Read more

I bought 2 lunch boxes off of Amazon and one from Walmart online... all 3 were too small for my 12 hour work shifts. I needed something bigger to hold all my drinks and food and had to return all (but 1 because I had to use it while waiting for a new one to arriveand didn't feel comfortablesending back a used item).So I ordered this one, well it's definitely way bigger than I thought it was going to be and way too big for a regular daily lunch bag. I now use it for grocery trips or I'll pack it full of drinks and snacks for the week and put my drinks in fridge to stay cold all week as needed. It definitely will hold 2 gallons of milk with a little room in top. I had 8 bottles of water and 4 things of snacks in it this week. It was really heavy and straps held up strong as well as inside liner. I'm still going to order another lunch box for daily taking my hot or cold foods and for when traveling in car all day, so not using as intentionally purchased but definitely keeping it because I love it. I only have a 15 minute trip from grocery store to my house, so I can't be much help on how long food stays cold except good still frozen/ cold when I get home after that time and in 100 degree weather. Love this bag. It's big enough to fit a frozen pizza box. Two gallons of milk could fit inside with room to throw a little more stuff on top. The handle is very sturdy. I have packed this out with quarts of milk and tubs of sour cream, very heavy things, and never felt like the handle or the rest of the bag couldn't handle it. I’ve been searching for several months trying to find a real insulated grocery bag without buying a Yeti. I am a mechanic engineer that deals with thermodynamics every day. This is the only shopping bag to date that lives up to its description. If it had a shoulder strap, I would give it 5 stars. It holds two gallons of milk and a half gallon of ice cream and two frozen vegetable packages with no problem and keep them cold for over 1 hour.
