This is your typical musical mobile box. At first it was great, but it starts to get annoying that it only plays for about 2 minutes before you have to wind it up again. First and foremost, we like the mobile music box.It was easy to install and use. The "Let it go" is pretty good. We use it during the day for an active baby, not for sleep time so the volume is great. Volume is loud, we can easily hear it in the next room. When the item arrived I thought the spinning hook was bent. This is not so, it's just the design, the hook spins straight.At first we were annoyed with how quickly the mobile stopped after a full crank. We took bets as to how long it lasted. We thought it only worked for 1-1.5 min. We were wrong, I timed it and it runs for almost exactly 3 min. I still wish it ran for longer, I would be willing to crank the dial 3 times as much for 10 consecutive minutes of play. Maybe we want to pay extra for a battery operated one that auto offs at 30 min, but we cannot deny that this item performs as advertised. Read more

I recently purchased this since I got a mobile stand/holder without the rotator.Positive: + super easy to install (a good thing because it does not come with any instructions! Just the little gadget in a ziplock baggy)+ there’s a pause button - I use it when I crank the dial, so that it does not automatically play the music while cranking+ it does what it says it does (plays the song and rotates the hook).+ I like the speed of the rotating - it’s slow, which I likeNegative: - there’s only one volume (loud)- It requires a lot of cranking for just a few seconds (maybe a minute?) of music- My husband says that it’s “horror music” which made me laugh, because I totally hear it too. It’s what you’d imagine where the nursery music is playing while the bad guy stalks forward.- not sure if it’s just me, but I feel like once you crank the dial, the music plays faster than towards the end. Someone else said my exact feelings in another review.You do all this cranking and ours only plays for like a minute before stopping. Would rather invest in one that spins for 10-20 minutes. The volume is SO LOUD and some of the keys sound... prickly, like nails on a chalk board pitch. Love it, I put my baby down after she’s done eating and she falls asleep watching the mobile and listening to the music. I like the sound of the music but I think it is a bit loud and sometimes scares my baby when I put her down drowsy. I really like that you can pause the music so I can stop it once baby has fallen asleep or if I move mobile on accident and don't want to wake her up. I think the price is good and it was the perfect replacement since the one that came with my baby’s mobile stopped working after winding it a few times. My baby loves the music and now her mobile can rotate. However, I should’ve opted for the battery powered version. You wind it up and just as it’s starting to soothe, it stops. Maybe 2 minutes you get out of it. I also got the one with somewhere over the rainbow melody and I have yet to figure out exactly what it is playing but it’s not that. I still like it and think that it’s worth what I paid for it but I probably wouldn’t buy it again if I had to do it over. Read more

This thing rocks. My daughter loves it and the fact that it doesn’t take batteries is great. They only run for probably 2-3min but it keeps her occupied while I sneak out of her room. I bought it to replace an OEM one that came with her crib. I wouldn’t wind it too right though. The gear that turned on the original one snapped. It was metal but it looked like cheap pot metal or something but for $8 I can afford to replace them. Read more

A true old fashioned music box that plays Brahams Lullaby, bringing back wonderful nostalgic family memories of years gone by. Best best of all, no batteries required. Lovely sound quality . The rotating hangar is perfect on a baby mobile or Christmas tree. I added a photo to the front with mod podge & it made a beautiful musical ornament.
