I wish I could give this more stars. My 3.5 month old son has his first cold, and it's been a nightmare. He's so congested and I've been using nasal bulb syringes to try to clear him out just so that he can nurse, and he HATES them. He's crying and screaming, I'm crying because I feel like I'm torturing him; it was just awful. I wanted a better option and everyone recommended the nose frida, but I could just not stomach sucking snot out with my mouth. I'm gagging just thinking about it. This just came yesterday, and this morning clearing his nose out was BEAUTIFUL. This sits outside the nose and seems a thousand times more comfortable for him, so instead of feeling like I'm torturing my child just so that he can breathe enough to eat, he's smiling up at me the entire time. It didn't seem to bother him at all, and even better, this blew the nasal bulb syringes out of the water as far as effectiveness. It was gross to clean, but only because it worked so well. I also love that you only have to clean one small part, which makes it easy. My only complaint, and that's if I'm searching for something to dislike, is that it's bulky and would be annoying to take with you on the go. Seriously though, I will look past that one flaw a thousand time just to see my child comfortable and breathing easily. Read more

Like many reviewers, I've used nose frieda. It works, but the gross out factor is high, and after getting severe sore throats myself when using it, I knew there had to be better way. And this pump is it. It works perfectly and my kid actually enjoys using it for the relief of his stuffy nose and getting to see the boogers and snot after (what can I say, he's a wacky kid, lol..) Update: I added a bit of oil to the cylinderseal as someone suggested and it works like new again!I really loved this the first few weeks we had it but it seemed out of nowhere the spring keeps getting stuck or off balance and it doesn't allow for suction and when it does work I have to manually push it back down. I have two kids w allergies so it gets a lot of use, might have to go back to the old one with mouth suction. Read more

Update 2: The third one I got was a lemon. The pump was leaky. Worked on and off. The replacement works well.Update: After using for a day, my baby does cry because we had to pin her down to use this. This device requires using two hands so it is hard to do it by myself unless my baby is sleeping. In that case, she was only shocked but not cry. Also, the mucous gets into the silicone tubing almost every time so it needs to be washed every time. If the tubing is not fully dried, water will be sucked into the pump so the pump will need to be washed regularly. This device is not very convenient factor in a baby that does not stay still, but still is the best solution I can find.Ordered last night, came to the door in the morning. The suction part has a very large curvature so it only sits outside the nose providing good seal. The pump plunger is sticky right out of the box but became smooth after a few pumps. The pump power is very strong and controllable by hand. Before buying this, I was using the blue bulb and it can barely suck out anything. The tip of the blue bulb went into the nose so much and made my baby girl's nostrils larger and she cried so much! This pump works, is non invasive, baby doesn't cry (she only turned her head away) and I know I can clean it to keep my baby safe. The construction makes a lot of sense and I wonder why this is not on the market long ago. If this continues to work, I'll buy another one to put in both living room and nursery. This product does not have cute design like Frida but it is just right. I hope this product becomes more popular and more available that can save a lot of babies from crying and a lot of parents from getting sick. Read more

I bought this because my baby girl had started to get flu with lots of nasal congestion and boy I wish I had deployed it immediately on my next encounter of the flu. The suction box is much larger than I thought, and I tried it on myself out of curiosity- didn’t have much of a noticeable effect so I was worried it would be ineffective. I’m glad to be proven wrong- it works like a charm, and it’s so satisfying to see the snot being collected instead of running down her face. Now the only challenge is to get it on my girl’s nostrils while she’s squirming like a little worm! Read more

OMG. This will replace my nosefrida immediately. I was literally having to pin my child down to aspirate his nose. I used this and he barely winced. I love that it collects the snot in an easy to rinse capsule and this is something I can have my nanny use as well. I just ordered a second! Do it. You will not regret it! Read more

We actually like this one better than the Nose Frida. It has really good suction, and our baby seemed to tolerate it a little more. Sometimes the snot gets sucked into the tube and the part with the handle, but I still think it's worth it. It's a lot easier than using your mouth to try to use the other aspirators, which cause me to get a little lightheaded sometimes. With this one, the pieces don't come apart when using it, so it gets the job done faster. It says to just rinse the parts out with plain water, but that's not sanitary, especially if baby is sick, but it cleans easily with dish soap. We also like that you don't have to put the tip inside the tip of the nose. It just rests up against his nose. Read more

There is nothing better that this out there - I am so grateful, thank you.I used couple of other products, which I had to suck myself and this pump is so much better. I can easily control the suction with my fingers and it is so much more effective in clearing my baby's nose.It just does the job much better and I wish I knew about it before.Other than that - it is easier to clean, than the other stuff I had to open up and basically disassemble to pieces. This one simply takes one thread to remove container and flush it with water.My baby also seems to appreciate it - because she waits patiently so that I can position the tip and pump out. I don't usually review anything - but this one is well worth it.So to all moms out there - do yourself a favor and get this one. Read more
