I rarely give kudos to Amazon purchases; it really has to be phenomenal for me to do so. When I first ordered this, my husband was like what the heck is that..Let me back up..I have chronic pain..I'm 46 and I suspect it's due to hormonal fluctuations, but that's not the point. Pre covid you'd find me at the gym 5-6 days a week; this managed the pain. Then after March 17 my world changed; I went from going to an office everyday to 100% telework, in other words a lot of sitting. Plus my beloved gym was closed and I no longer had my pain relief..In the months that followed I tried everything..I went back to my roots and aggressively returned to yoga, saw my chiropractor and weekly sports/deep tissue massage..I was able to function thanks to a combination of these items, paired with homeopathy and dreaded NSAIDs..However I still had pretty bad pain.. Okay, I didn't believe it... i was in a car accident and my back was messed up ever since. Ended up with crazy sciatica. Went to pain management but they just wanted to give me drugs and steroid shots. I took the Bob and Brad route and worked it as much as possible. One point it got so bad I couldn't sleep at night finally bitting the bullet and taking all the pain meds..I hated it, I have a chirp wheel but it never helped my sciatica, I did a back stretcher, inverted table....but nothing helped that numbing tingling feeling but THIS. Wow I lowered myself onto my psoas. Just felt like it was digging into my gut, but once I found that perfect spot ...it felt like someone stabbed me just below my belly button... Once you control your breathing and relax...... I KID YOU NOT, IMMEDIATELY felt better. I was able to skip, straightin my legs touch my toes without any pain.. as someone who's felt with terrible pain. I recommend this. So far, what I like about it, is that it does what it claims to do, and it does it very well. It gets into areas that lacrosse balls and rollers don't get into. Why I gave it 3 stars is two reasons. One, is it's price. It is WAY overpriced for a hollow piece of plastic, it would be better priced at $40 (but I bought it because I am a pain ridden desperate customer). Two, (and this one greatly annoys me) the black rubber feet on the bottom leave marks on every hard surface I use it on. I'd love to use this up against the wall for decreased pressure, but I have numerous black spots on my wall that I have to scrub off when I'm done. I know that they could have gone with different material that doesn't leave marks or go with clear rubber. Still overall I am happy with this product after one week of use.6/1/19 Recently, while on Instagram, I saw this product being advertised. I commented in regards to the rubber feet leaving marks on the wall. They quickly responded back. They apologized, advised me that I must have got an old model because they changed it to clear rubber feet. I thought that would work better as I stated in my original review. They also stated that they were going to send me a new one free of charge. I did not believe them. I thought they were just making a good showing on social media. However, a week later I got my new Pso-rite Delivered to my house. I was so shocked. Their customer service is outstanding and I wanted to commend them for that. I gave the product an extra star here. It is a five star product for sure, but I still think the price point needs to come down. I think they would sell a ton of these (if they aren’t already) if they brought it down to around 40 or $45. That being said, if you have the money, and are willing to spend it. I trust Joe Rogan and when he says something is gonna take away my lower back pain, I’m in. $80 is steep for a giant plastic thing. But this giant plastic thing flippin works!!! As soon as it arrived, I got it out of the box, got on the floor, and laid on it. Dude. It felt like torture at first. Contemplated finding Joe Rogan and punching him in the face. Then. Oh then. Pain turned into ease and I was able to lay on it a little heavier and let it dig into the psoas. After a good 8-10 min, I got up and NO PAIN. I mean. I don’t know how to explain but it felt loose? Different? But definitely no pain. This is after just one messing around session. I can’t wait to lay on it again and incorporate it to my daily regimen. If you’re thinking about it, just get it. So I don’t know if this thing works, but my wife says that my stride has begun to change. Said it doesn’t look as forced and that I look far more comfortable. Apparently I wear my discomfort on my face.That being said, it is a bit uncomfortable, but I put a think piece of foam on top an it it fine.That also being said, holly crap! I have been getting out of bed with ease and no tightening on my lower back…I almost feel normal!Look, let’s be honest, if you have gone to a chiropractor, he had more than likely never told you about this device. Let me start by saying if my company hadn't issued us Amazon vouchers in replacement for out Christmas party then I never could of justified buying this. It is so overpriced it is ridiculous, this should at most be £25.Any description claiming this to be a sophisticated piece of physio equipment is a load of bull and if you are currently at the level where you pay for regular massages/treatment then accept that this is no replacement. It may however be a nice supplement to you though and offer you some easily accessible at home relief.This is just a hard plastic mould and that is that. That said for me it is the first thing I have found that can really get in to the areas of my upper and lower back and work out the knots which is at the end of the day the reason I bought it.Don't expect in depth instructions on the best way to use it, there is one piece of paper with a few pictures on it and no guidance and their website isn't a whole lot better. There's a guy doing videos in his garage with his mum or something filming it and not really showing any useful angles.Anyway the company has clearly spent more on it's advertising than it has on actually explaining how to use the product but it must of worked as I've bought one! Once you’ve gotten over the fact that you’ve paid probably £60 odd for a piece of plastic you’re going to do alright with this!!I’ve always had tight hip flexors and stretching never quite hit the mark. I’ve tried stretches, foam rollers attempted to self release it. All sorts! The only thing that’s ever eased it is a physiotherapy massage session......until I got this!Check out their your tube channel (or a quick guide in the box) and there’s loads of info on best ways to use it. It appears to work amazingly and I'm just a week in. I don't know what else to say, after using it on my lower back, psoas and hip joint, without too much attention paid to tutorial and instructions, just applying pressures around where my physio used to.Semmes expensive, right?
