I am writing this on behalf of my daughter. She is 16 years old however has a terrible bunion on her foot that her podiatrist says is quite advanced for her young age. The issue is that she is an avid runner. She is not quite ready for surgery and will have to wait through bone more season of cross country sports before she can have her foot taken care of. That is her desire, not mine. At any rate nearly any track spike or cross country shoe with spikes tends to run quite narrow or have a minimal, less than cushy feel. I bought these hoping this might give her some relief! I am thrilled to report that she has had several practices now and one meet and ran all of them with great success while wearing this. She said it makes an incredible difference to her comfort level upon impact as she feels the bunion is not taking direct hits. I haven’t been diagnosed with a bunion, but my toe does curve inward to a slight degree. I started skating again and the skates gave me a horrible blister on the bone. So I I decided to try something to give it cushion. This thing does just that. And it forms to your foot/toe as you move. A friend recommended these to me while discussing our aches and pains. My order arrived very quickly and I'm delighted. I can wear them all day and not notice they are there but for the lack of pain in the top of my foot which obviously radiated from my big toe joint. I give them a rinse after use, pat dry and leave to air dry overnight. In the future they might need a dusting of baby talc or chalk powder to prevent them from becoming a little sticky. Excellent durable product. I used the same sleeve for about 20 pain-free runs now and despite cleaning it gently after each it looks like new. Excellent pain relief and fits well under socks. I only gave 4 stars as you have to be quite mindful about the sleeve being placed correctly when putting on your socks and then shoes, but once this is done they do not move. Read more
