I have worn a custom mouth guard for many years and it recently cracked. Dreading to spend a few hundred dollars on getting a new one fitted, I tried these ProDental guards. These were very easy to fit....Just: - Boil some water (and remove pot from stove) - drop the mouth guard in for about 15 seconds or when you see the edges start to curl - cool just a little for about 10 seconds on a wet paper towel (I was surprised it cooled down so fast) - insert it into your mouth (upper) - suck out all the air - (creating a vacuum in your mouth) - press the guard up into your mouth with your tongue - at the same time, use your fingers to press outside of your mouth to help form the guard to your mouth - remove the guard and drop into a cool bowl of water to help set the guard. - you're done.Also, I didn't need to trim the guard at all. The guard shrinks a bit as it hits the hot water, so maybe try it without trimming it first. Read more

I can't say enough good things about this product and the companies customer service. After following the instructions to create my mouth guard, I got a pretty nice fit compared to other guards I've used, but it still had that annoying "bulk" to it. Luckily I read through the instructions completely and saw that ProDental will offer to shave the mouth guard down to about 1mm thickness all around for free if you mail it in to them. They even pay to ship it back to you! I just got mine back in the mail today, and now its PERFECT! Thank you ProDental. Their very own instructions state that if you're "looking for a thin dentist fabricated mouth guard then THEY HAVE GOOD NEWS..."THEIR NEW PRODUCT...THE PRODENTAL ULTRA COMFORT DENTAL GUARD." But hey, after you go through the ridiculous process of trying to fit this product, which is really intended to be an athletic guard, but in the listings on Amazon this company chooses to advertise this product as a teeth grinding 3 in 1 mouth guard, they'll send you two free thin nightguards...what the...? Ridiculous waste of my tme. It then goes on and describes this fabulous NEW product. I think this is false and misleading advertising. Ummmmm, if I had seen that before this highly rated product I might have bought it. But I was I bait and switched to this product by the search engine. Hmmmm, Amazon. What's up with that? ALSO...This is NOT an easy product to work with. It is insanely complex...the instructions, for instance, read...cut down by 1/8" at a time with VERY SHARP SCISSORS. If you have scissors that are THAT sharp, congratulations! But even more...when you're finally done, hopefully correctly reducing the size by 1/8" at a time, you can then choose to use sandpaper to smooth the edges. SO ANGRY!!!!!!!! Read more

Look no further if you need a mouth guard for grinding!This company is unbelievable! They send you a pack of 3 mouth guards with very easy instructions (make sure you follow them).When you take the mouth piece out of the water place it on a paper towel briefly. I think maybe 10 seconds. Don't be afraid that it will be too hot, it's not. It easily molds to fit your teeth. I also trimmed mine a little before doing this. I've been using it for a month now and it's just as good as my $3000 one from my dentist.Aside from how great the product is - the customer service is impeccable. The best bite guard with amazing customer service, hands down. I have a pretty severe gag reflex where even going to the dentist for a regular cleaning is hell, much less having to get a filling done - at that point I need to pop a couple Xanax just to survive the procedure. So when my dentist told me I needed a night guard for my teeth grinding I felt a panic attack coming on, not to mention to get one done by my dentist would cost me a $$$$.So, originally I decided to try out a store bought night guard and make it myself to save myself money. Horrible decision. The thing felt like I had a rubber ball in my mouth which was agonizing (unless you're into that type of thing, I don't know). I contacted the company, only to be surprised by the company contacting me directly, presumably the owner as it was addressed from a Don Closson, DDS of ProDental. He told me that instead of a thinning service, he would send me a couple of their new, thinner mouthguards, free of charge and shipping paid for. I took him up on the offer and within a week received the new guards, which true to his word were much thinner, much more comfortable, and almost unnoticeable in my mouth. After about a month now, I can tell you that these are the best mouthguards for night grinding if you have a severe gag reflex like me. Sometimes I'll wake up and completely forget I'm even wearing the guard until I go to brush my teeth and realize I'm still wearing it. I was not impressed. Way to big and uncomfortable to wear in your mouth for teeth grinding . I had to remove it in the middle of the night. Maybe it would work better as a mouth guard but as a teeth grinding nightguard it does not work. Read more
