Bought this for my in-home hair coloring ritual in hopes that I can save my towels from death by discoloration. However the first and only time I used the cape I spent more time adjusting it just to get it out of the way than working on my hair. The thing kept getting in the way no matter how I wrapped and moved it away. If it had a cutout for the arms it would be easier to use. May work well for hairdressers but it is lousy for DIY hair colorists. I still have it somewhere tucked away and I don’t want to use it again unless I work on hair that isn’t mine. Read more

The cape seems to be good quality, BUT the neck portion of the cape is too small for an adult-sized neck! Except for the very last snap, all of the snap options are so small that they will only fit the circumference of my lower arm and wrist! I bought this cape for my neck, not my arm or wrist. I’m not an extremely large person, so a standard-sized cape should fit properly with a few options to adjust up or down in size. This was used initially for quarantine haircuts for me and my husband - I did both cuts - and this was terrific! Doesn’t hold onto the hair like a towel and after I was done, I brushed it off and it was totally clean. Then I used it when I colored my hair and it handled any drips like a professional cape. Threw it in the washer and it came out great! Barely wrinkled and looked like new...for the price I paid I had a fear it was going to come out looking kind of worn out, but what a nice surprise. I gave this a 4 star review because although it is a great quality cape, my son complained about being hot while I was cutting his hair. It was definitely easy to use, kept the hair off of him, and washed nicely in my washing machine. I line dried it and it air dried rather quickly as well. Very nice cape, I purchased 3 of them at once and coming back for more. They feel nice and heavy on the shoulders and really nice material and a super cool thing is that it has 2 openings in the front so the clients can use their hands freely while wearing the cape. The cape is not bad, but nothing like the photo. Kind of cheap. One layer of plastic. Looks like mass supply and I thought I was getting some really nice capes. They are from China. Really surprised because they are good sewers, but they never reached a seamstress. They were mass produced. Really disappointed, but they are ok to keep.
