Richard's Ratings:When I received my Variety Pack of ProBars I raced to get the box off the porch and ripped open the Amazon box and then the Variety Pack! Excited to try the Blueberry Muffin before my wife could get home and interfere. I knew she would want half as we had discussed how this was definitely a flavor we wanted to try. Well, I may be exaggerating somewhat. However, it is true that there were 3 or 4 bars that we wanted to try and I had looked at the picture to see what flavors came in the Variety Pack and Blueberry was at the top of this short list. We were disappointed that it wasn't there. In it's place though, we found Mocha Almond Fudge, which I think is likely to be a big hit. Along with this pack, we also bought a pack of the Banana Nut Bread ProBars. She had tried these at work and thought they were GREAT! I didn't expect to like these as much as she did, but was pleasantly surprised that it was quite good.Also, why is the expiration date hiding under the flap on the Variety Pack while the date is more conveniently printed on the bars from the box of Banana Nut Bread bars. And yes, those are both Banana Nut Bread bars in the picture. Oh, and while I'm being picky - when am I not. Why do I have to pull the overlapping flap up out of the way in order to see the ingredients and that a serving is considered only a half of a bar. Oh sure, you bet :)We decided to rate the bars from the Variety Pack with a score of 1 to 5 as we try them. 1 for least good and 5 for most good.Our taste ratings are complete for all of these now. We tried them in the order that I thought we would like them. Interestingly, it didn't turn out to be our preference all that way through, but the one we tried last did turn out to be one of only two that we both gave a five:ProBar: Her Rating - My Rating / CommentOriginal Trail Mix: 4 - 2 / This is the first one that I tried. Which, in this case it was. :]Peanut Butter: 4 - 4 / Good tasting bar that we will might buy again by the box.Banana Nut Bread: 5 - 4 / This is the bar that got us started on ProBars. She had been buying them at work and loves it. She gave it a 5. It does't taste much like your mom's banana nut bread - I've never really been a fan of mom's banana nut bread. As a matter of fact, I don't much care for nuts in breads, but I liked this bar better than I thought I would and gave it a 4.Oatmeal Chocolate Chip: 4 - 4 / Agreement again! Buy by the box!Chocolate Coconut: 5 - 5 / Our first pair of 5s. This tastes like a health version of one of our favorite candy bars.Mocha Almond Fudge: 4.5 - 3.5 / She had to have a fractional rating for this. I followed with one of my own just 'cause. I wouldn't buy a box of these, but she might. Oh what a dilemma! :| :)Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip: 5 - 5 / This was expected to be the best bar in my ordered list. Indeed, we agreed that it was a 5. Will surely get a box on our next order from Amazon.The Blueberry Muffin has a story of its own. A friend in a nearby town told us that a popular local quick stop chain has these. We checked 5 locations in our town and they had 5 boxes of 6 different bars depending on the store, but not one Blueberry Muffin was discovered. She took matters into her own hands and ordered an entire box of these from Amazon. So the ratings are in:Blueberry Muffin: 3 - 4 / Yup. Sort of anticlimactic, I guess. This one goes into the probably wouldn't by a box group.Just for the record:I would like to see a better breakdown of the fats in the bar. Details regarding Mono-unsaturated Polyunsaturated fats would be nice. We can assume that there are some in these good fats in these bars, but the details would be nice. Good that they don't seem to have trans fats.Less salt and less added sugars would be good.- Richard Read more

One star is for over priced item. The taste is great and having lots of nuts in each single bar. However, I have discovered that I could have gotten this item for $10 less. I now realize that Amazon's health foods are very expensive. I would suggest that before any customer buy anything at Amazon, please do some comparison shopping-- you will be surprised. I like ProBars, they are great. However, this review is reflective of the seller, not the bar producer. These bars came in a box covered in Christmas wrapping paper, which is concerning considering its October. I checked the expiration date which is fine, but they are still stale. The bars feel like they've around the world and back. They are hard and greasy, almost inedible. Don't get ripped off. I threw them all away because the seller does not except returns. $40 down the drain. Criminal. Read more

i wanted to try out these bars because i am always looking for ways to maintain calories. these bars seemed like a good option since they have a whopping 370-400 calories per package ! I LOVE these... so far I've had the Banana Nut, Chocolate & Peanut Butter, Almond Crunch and Original Trail Mix and every one of them is delicious. Not only do they taste great, they satisfy my hunger and stay with me. I am hypoglycemic, so when I have something high in refined sugar, when I crash I get Hangry, this doesn't happen with these. I am by no means a health nut. I workout and try to eat healthy. I eat these either after my morning work out for breakfast or when I need something on the run.
